Lately I've been looking for new material to read and been annoyed that whenever I find a cute front like jinx for example and then clicking it to see the rating, I'm upset to see it be below 9.0 or smth.
Kinda need recs they are a one this ( mostly bl but I don't really care) but really wish there was a rating sorter so I can set my preference. Or smth

Not really for rating but through the "All Genres" tab you can sort by popularity. That's the closest I can think of, or you can find someone's list that only has 9.0 or higher rating stories.
Tbh in my opinion the ratings on this site aren't very accurate cause people will rate absolute trash with 5 stars.

Listen, I liked most of it at first, heck I still read it. But now mostly for the art and if it sucks plot wise I just put it in my already read.
There have been too many times where I have rooted for the couple and then something horribly wrong happens in my stomach drops. Example would be when the semester is super healthy and kind at the beginning but one thing sets them off and there r*ping the uke or accusing them without talking.
There have been to many times where I've had to put down my phone to calm myself. It's ridiculous how most bl's normalize sexual assault and when he explains his back story its suddenly fine, like????
I love the art and I sometimes like the characters do but my moral compass can't overshadow on what happened before they became "healthy"(if you can even call it that).
Genuinely, I really want to some of these guys to leave each other. I want some of them to just never see each other again or find a way to never be present again. In a realistic world people will report things with this kind of stuff if it happened to them.
Or maybe I'm taking things to seriously... Idk you guys tell me. Can a good genuine bl story have little to no miscommunication, assault(both ways), unnecessary plot points, dismissing of toxic behaviors, or excusing actions because of a tough past? Tell me what you think.

i agree with you tbh at this point it's so normalized that you'll rarely find a BL that doesn't use rape as a plot device, unless it actually makes sense in the story and the context.
yeah i believe a lot of stories can be good without having rape or shit toxic behaviors, but i feel like authors just have so much rape and things like that in their stories because it sells, unfortunately. i think to them it's popular and causes "drama" and that's why it's so common and people read it without batting an eye at this point because it's so normalized now.
a good story obviously needs to have some kind of rising action, whether it's miscommunication or whatever issue arises in the plot (NOT rape tho). so i think sometimes it's necessary depending on the story, but it's so overdone and shitty to read when for example rape happens just for no reason and they skip past it. obviously many authors just write using BL logic and don't really cater to people who'd like it to be a little realistic even.
but at this point i've given up and just stopped reading a lot of popular BLs that basically all have the same boring story and assault trope. i've just tried to find good healthy stories that have well-written plotlines and characters, not just stories that are like "oh he raped him because his mom died when he was a kid so now yall are gonna fall in love"
it honestly depends on what you look for because what bl you describe is what I typically avoid which are usually the really really popular manhwa bls I check the rating on here and read the replies before I read a story (anything below a 9.0 rating I avoid it like the plague) because why would I waste my time reading a story that ill be dissatisfied at for reading
