Lol did u not read it? They have been in love for a while now.. So letting Chase aware of Pete's existence is just a bonus for Chase since Joshua was always in love with him.. Also Joshua Did Raise his son, it only looks like he is always on a mission cuz this story started after he got the contract with C and it was one of their biggest contract.. Before that(which was not shown but implied) Joshua was taking care of Pete along with his duties. So yeah if they know Marriage is the ultimate end, why wait for anything?? They have established career and chemistry.
