its the first time im so hooked on a bl. brett is such an interesting character he became one of my favs like i can understand he doesnt do feelings bc its not on his nature nor nurture and then we have his complete oppossite, a guy so sweet that is afraid of his own biology hurting people he cares about...and you put these 2 imperfect men in such an intense power play not only sexually but emotionally too. both brett and hayden dont want to give up their own idea of how their relationship should be. and i cant be mad to either of them. tbh i hope they end up together but i dont know how theyll get there without one of them giving up their own ego and control issues.

The way I understood this chapter was that He Tian has always lost the things he loves...so he was making sure that Mo was still there. It's true that He Tian has wrong ways to show his feelings and Mo has his issues too. Thats why I think when they become mature enough they will be a good couple. In a strange way they compliment each other, but for that they have to grow up and get over some stuff from the past.

Me too. He Tian is the most complex character ( because he is actually the most flawed of them) and that makes for promising character development. He is a good guy who does bad things ( his bullying on Mo and forcing him into doing everything the way he wants by threat ) . I see Mo development as mostly driven by He Tian. He is reactive to the other guy and always on defense mode. Since he sees He Tian as his bully he always welcomes the guy with insults first and goes on mode attack when He Tian is doing his worst bullying. However, as soon as he perceives He Tian in a vulnerable state he drops the defense and go softer. Unfortunately that only happened twice. He Tian is driving their mutual development and the kinder, less bully and more vulnerable he become around Mo, the more the other will let his defense down. Both He Tian and Mo need character development before relationship development because they are the 'wrong' guys, they are a combination of thug, bully, traumatized boys that need to overcome their own flaws in order to make their thing work. Xi and Jian on the other hand are already the 'right guys', sweet, good, cute guys -- and friends -- and therefore the development is about their relationship only. It's a long way for He Tian and Mo but I still hope this is a love story where they are each other's medicine -- He Tian learning that he doesn't need to bully or buy Mo's love out of him and Mo learning that not everyone is out to get him and he can trust He Tian.
