The mc shows enough interest about his brothers towards the king, so the least he could do is to tell them the truth that their eldest is worried about them and asking about them but circumstances made it so he can't visit them. Or is it that the queen is too scared of her son's learning about a brother that might steal the crown, even though everyone and their dogs know he has literally no support from any side.(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
