I kinda knew they would assimilate since I saw the tie to a personality disorder, but that doesn’t stop me from being disappointed. As someone that’s working towards a psych degree, it’s super unrealistic, but not even in a satisfying way if that makes sense. I’m not saying that stories need to be 100% realistic all the time, but if the story’s main conflict is about mental health, you’d think they’d do more research /: I was kinda hoping they’d be different and keep the second personality (if they wanted to be interesting, have him take over although that’s not exactly the ideal for real life situations) but alas. Literally reminds me of every kdrama I’ve seen that has DID where they make the second personality more interesting(not necessarily better) or more appealing and then they realize they have to backtrack and suddenly show more of the “OG” personality bc they want them to assimilate for their rainbows and unicorn ending…
