And it's not only the toxicity, I feel like all the characters become less likable these days too. One of the big pros of Yaoi imo was the mc being relatable but these days, they're either dumb af, shallow or an asshole. The semes have always been kinda questionable, so that's nothing new I guess but these days it feels like they're mean for no reason.
