From start to finish this story has held me in its grip. The family tropes and Dam finally coming onto his destiny has sent me into a spiral of mixed emotions. That panel when Mishi went from older to younger when he met Dam one last time really struck me. No matter how old you are, you will always revert back to a child in front of your parent </3. In my culture, there are stories of deities sacrificing their human form to help their families survive, and this story humanizes Dam (who is clearly a deity) and shows him the best of humanity before he realizes what he must do. His relationships with Yullie, Flo, Lena, and Jin and how he related them to Mishi in the final chapter really shows his love for Mishi in the most heart wrenching and beautiful way. These final chapters where him and Mishi finally make up and Adam FINALLY showing Mishi that he indeed loved his son is the cherry on top of this masterpiece of a story.
