Reminds me an episode of Girl From Nowhere. She is the personification of karma or, idk, she fucks with people to elicit their most base (and worst) instincts— and they ultimately suffer the consequences of the who they really are but have kept hidden… one episode she effectively uses herself to get these teenagers to bully and violate her tk the point of and murd3r but she just keeps reanimating and basically they lose their fucking minds lol

i won’t lie, eunhyeok should’ve gone to therapy years ago but i will say i think this is a pretty accurate portrayal of how unresolved trauma and mental health problems can manifest.
what really stood out to me was how he was constantly replaying what he wished he had done differently in the past. but in some ways, i think even with the knowledge he has now, i can’t say he would’ve acted entirely differently given that he still hasn’t found the courage to tell sooae anything in present time as of yet.
none of his family was ever there for him the way he needed them to be, leading to the belief that he had to fight his own battles alone and to not be a burden to others. and unfortunately, that is why eunhyeok fears opening up to sooae when all he has ever been met with in the past is judgement and dismissal. and he fears that same reaction the most with sooae because she has become the one person he feels safe with.
i think when ur life has been full of these kind of protracted experiences, there comes a point where u will make choices that don’t always make sense to others. that is the result of what severe trauma and abuse does to ur entire belief system.

Omg THANK YOU I can’t stand the hate for him. He’s a flawed person who has many issues within himself. Like yeah he was an asshole for doing that but does that make him an over-all horrible person?!
