Orange is the best fruit's Manga

Wow. This is bad. But like bafflingly. . If you just looked at the visuals, you might even think it's good. Theres a distinct style and the art direction and quality is honestly pretty solid.

But then you read the words and it's just BAD. It's trying to be poetic, but instead its plain and redundant. Half the narration for mythos follows a pattern of Sentence 1 sets up for information to be revealed. Sentence 2 reveals the information by restating Sentence 1 but with slightly more details. Sentence 3 might question the logic of Senteces 1 and 2, undermining their authority and necessity, and making ME question why the author included these details if they were just going to point out in-universe that their story doesn't make sense. It's like the story is afraid to commit to it's one worldbuilidng. Rinse and repeat.

Speaking of worldbuilding... THE WHOLE 4 CHAPTERS IS JUST A MASSIVE MYTHOS INFODUMP. And the "myths" are what's baffling boring. Plus, the story has no justification as to why we're learning ALL this world building before we've even gotten to know the characters. The story TRIES to justify infodumping by presenting it diagetically through a character, but that character admits they dont actually know the stories that well, once again making me question WHY QRE THEY TELLING ME THIS and also, again, undermining their believability.

The infodumping is ocasionally interrupted by what I assume is supposed to be character moments, but it just doesn't work for me. The elf lady is established as not caring about the mythos dumping and wants the old man to stop taking. But then later she demands he continue the mess when the little girl he's been expositing at is asleep.

I dunno. This is was just boring and reeks of first time storytelling. Hopefully the creator improved.
