If i remember correctly, its not that it is physically impossible for him to hide his wings. Rather since his wings are a symbol of their pride and what they used to be, so he is not supposed to hide them. Its symbolic not an actual physical restriction

He has always been able to hide them. That's how the entire story started - with him hiding his wings so pwople didn't know he was a celestial.

In celestial kingdoms the king and grand duke show their wings proudly as a symbol of their status, while all the vassals hide them.

Yes and no, but this saw they used wasn’t sharp enough so it did a ton of damage to the nerves so yeah the author needs to do a bit of research

This is a common misconception.

When a body part is severed in a way other than a clean cut the part goes through various processes. Surgeons will attempt to clean as well as repair tissue, tendon, bones and veins to assist with reatachment to parts that have been crushed, mangled or less clean severs. It all comes down to the damage to the over all finger. So there are a lot of factors that are involved.

Now the aforemention of a quack doctor. I doubt this would have been a success. XD

I see. Even if they manage to "clean" it, i still think the size of the fingers would be different since they'd have to use what they can save
