i think you should read it before watching the anime so u can notice if u changed anything from the manga. let it marinate if u want its ur choice but im way to impatient for that ( ´；д；`)

I read it before watching the anime, but i think the anime gives more context on the lore which makes the manga easier to understand. So i'd say watch the anime first and then read the manga. It's worth it to finish both since their art styles have different vibes and the anime adds more scenes with other characters' point of view, while the manga focuses more on Hikaru and Yoshiki but also has cute/funny extra chapters that don't appear in the anime.
