The romantic development between Florence and the prince feels so weird because we barely see them interacting with each other. Chapter 125 is just so we can understand where they're standing, nothing more and nothing less. The story has always felt a little choppy in some places but this takes the cake.
Like- yes, a story can have many elements: there can be power struggle, rebellion, romance, action, etc., but there must be a way to bind them all together. Currently, it feels like different parts of the story are awkwardly held together, as if the author suddenly remembered that they didn't put that particular piece.
