They could have waited and prioritized the artist's wellbeing by postponing the updates, and by explaining the reason why I think everyone would have been pretty understanding.
And, despite the hiatus and time needed in order for the artist to have a healthy pregnancy, everyone would have been delighted if new chapters got uploaded sometime later from another artist or the same after she had recovered.
The greed for money is growing ever larger while empathy is now an almost nonexistent emotion for a way too large percentage of the population.
