Loved this story up until the horrible rape and assault. Literally fell in love with the development and growth I was seeing. None of it matters. Seme is an abusive piece of crap, and Uke is a victim. Every sex scene is gross and makes me feel horrible for the Uke. Zero romance, just possession and obsession.
Disappointment is an understatement.
Yeah I guess my problem is the lack of consistency because in the middle, it really felt like the Seme genuinely loved and was gentle with the Uke. I could really feel the romance, softness, and the understanding between each other. As soon as he shot the Uke I’ve been waiting for it to come back. But it literally feels like the Uke doesn’t really want to be there and the Seme has lost EQ.
If it was trash from the start I wouldn’t have read it. Which is why I’m dissatisfied/disappointed.
I dont know where you got the idea this was gonna be all roses without the champagne pft. The guy runs the mafia , being nice to the uke? From the first time they met he was bothering the uke broke his bike so he couldn’t leave his mansion . Were u not paying attention . And the uke himself isnt normal he shot the seme as well . They both are the opposite yet perfect match for each other . It was meant to be toxic from the start.
I think you’re the one with reading comprehension issues. I don’t have issue with the toxic aspect of this story. I LIKED Kiss me Liar and Kiss the Bride. I also liked Killing Stalking and other toxic abusive stories. It’s why I read this one.
My issues is that there was a point where in this story you could feel Ceaser and the Uke bonding, reaching common ground, falling for each other. And now that’s gone. It literally feels like the Uke is only with the Seme cause it’d be harder to leave him, and the Seme is exactly the same from the beginning. No character development. No progression. Maybe you like stories like that, which is fine. I don’t, so I made my comment. Just because YOU don’t understand my criticism doesn’t mean I can’t comment and give my opinion. Relax.
Why do you have to give criticism . so much other people genuinely like reading this bl . Yes you can give criticism as much as u want but that doesnt mean you have to . Imagine how the translater feels everytime they look down in the comment sec and see someone talking down so much about the bl they are uploading here for peps to read . And we don't even have to spend a dim . Its fine if u dislike the bl , u can just say "yeah this bl isnt for me im not in to this or that . But to fully give criticism to the manhwa like its going to kill you or something is just bonkers!
I personally dont know why people complain about this or that like they are paying for sh*t thats just what i dislikes in most comment sec .
“Like it’s going to kill you” I wrote 7 sentences originally lol. The only reason I’m still responding is because people are so sensitive to one negative comment in a sea of positive. I also wasn’t saying anything about the translation, so I don’t know why the translater would be upset? The translation is very good.
The reason I commented is to share an opinion. “I don’t like this because of X.” I like to use my brain and actually think about why I don’t like something and sometimes I share that. Im not attacking or hurting anyone’s feelings. If you agree with me, you can like my comment. If you don’t you can dislike it. You can tell me I’m wrong as well. But why are you telling me not to comment at all lol? I’m criticising a fictional story not the author as a person omg you people are so sensitive.
ice been reading this comic for a while so i cant remember all the details but to me ceasar was never really good to the uke (i dont remember his name lmao)? like i dont have any moments where i think ceasar was continuously nice, any time he was nice, he would just follow it up with something terrible, tho i do remember the beginning of the comic being better, but nothing in this screamed “oh hes a changed man who actually cares about the uke” idk to me its always given possession vibes; like i genuinely hate their sex scenes bc i can tell the uke is never really vibing, i read this bc i like when a character is just terrible and does what they want (not to their lover but to others), like he punched that kid and i was laughing for like 5 minutes bc it was so crazy
first of i sated that you are free to comment whatever ur opinion. it seems people really are sensitive to the manwha thats why they shouldnt read things like this , and then complain when there is something they dont like . tho everyone is free to have an opinion its like u said people are really just sensitive ^^ . and ur using ur brain but clearly u dont get my point when u give harsh comment like u did about ur talking down on the bl which would make readers who actually like this bl feel a negative way but u seem to lack empathy for those who actually enjoy reading this bl .
and yes they can simply just dislike ur comment and move along just like u could of just say hey i dislike reading manhwa with r8pe and move along but i guess we are all just sensitive humans ^^
last of all : the translator should know why they felt the need to reply to your comment . im really too sleepy to explain how bothersome it must be for the uploader and other readers .
just a fictional character your criticising ? pardon my rudeness but u care too much to criticize a piece of drawing in the first place .
First off i stated that everyone is free to give there own opinion but that doesn't mean they have to.
Secondly the uploader of this bl knows the reason why they felt the need to reply back to you.
Thirdly did you ever acknowledge the fact that u criticizing this bl would actually make people who genuinely likes this bl feel upset .
4th u may be useing your brain ig thats why your obviously criticizing a fictional character. Then again u said it yourself not like your hurting anyone u didnt tallk bad about the author only the character that maybe who knows some readers likes .
Ig we humans must be really sensitive to complain when we read a bl for free about our dislikes and likes.
I don't mean to sound rude or anything.
But then again we are all just sensitive after all ^^
And lastly: just like how we can simply dislike your comment and move along you can do the same .

I get where you’re coming from actually. For me, when they were in the cabin it really seemed like they were done with power imbalances, and could understand one another. It wouldn’t make sense for Ceaser to be nice, but if felt like at that point they could pull through together. I think I would love it if Ceaser was horrible to everyone else except the Uke, instead of him just doing whatever he wants to the Uke whose been portrayed to be smart and fit. But yeah, it was really funny when he punched the kid lol. I appreciate you actually engaging with what I was saying instead of just telling me to shut up lol. Thanks!
I’m on chapter 41 and so far all I’ve seen is a female lead whose choices and decisions don’t seem to matter, cheesy and unbelievably unrealistic romance (some of the lines are so crazy they pull me out of the story), and very predictable emotions and characters.
I feel like I kept waiting for a subversion of expectation, where a female character would finally show some backbone or move through a situation without help, but I’m disappointed every time.
I dunno. Maybe I just really hate the trope of “Oh this guy is really annoying, is constantly bothering me, I want him to leave me alone.” “Oh no! He left me alone and I actually like him!!” Like please.
Does it get better?
This has been bothering me for a while so I decided that maybe sharing my opinion will help.
This, to me, was actually very disappointing, because even though it had new ideas, characters, and exciting themes: it all became very unrealistic, and even toxic.
The biggest issue I have with this story, is that it romanticises sociopathy. there are people in this world, just like Jung, and those people need therapy - not relationships. Jung is dangerous, and mentally unwell. You can’t spend your life manipulating everyone around you, and expect to get better. If this was real life, the relationship between the main characters would fall through, because Jung has power over Seol, and his peers, which would ultimately lead to psychological abuse and gaslighting. (Did he do this to me? Am I crazy? He could be lying?...)
The second issue I have with story is how inconsistent it was with Soel’s character. She was cutting with some people, and then a complete pushover with others. She HATED Jung, who effectively made her want to leave school- and then was somehow was okay with awkwardly spending time with him? Seol has shown that she is competing fine with walking away from people, so why didn’t she just walk away from him? And no, she still hated him at the time, so that’s not a valid reason.
I could also go into the confusing and lackluster way the series resolved the issues with Inha and Inho, and how Jung never faced any consequences for his actions, and other ways this story messed up.
I don’t usually care so much, or write so much, but I feel genuinely upset because this story had so much potential. It could have been so amazing, and it just sucks that this is how is it turned out.
This is just my opinion though, if you disagree, you disagree. But Jung and Seol should not have ended up together like that, and more things should have been explained.
So i read around till ch180 and dropped it when Jung started being shown as all manipulative. I planned to read it later but now i don't really want to. I agree with u that manipulative people like Jung need therapy not relationships.
Because even if Seol doesn't hate him enough to leave him she will eventually get tired of him being so manipulative and it will become toxic. They shouldn't end up together.
I agree with the therapy part but not the part about her hate of jung and seol being inconsistent—the whole series is literally jungs redemption with flashbacks to their previous encounters. I also think that seol is a character that goes beyond what we’re used to in most modern webtoons where characters can be summed up in three adjectives for their personality types, a hair color, and a singular motive. At the end of the motive, their story ends, but this is where cheese in the trap diverges and becomes a more rounded out story in terms of how dynamic the characters are. Can I ask what specifically u would like explained?
I love your explanation. The characters feel extremely human with their flaws and all. The more you get to know them, the more you see why they adopted certain behaviour. It’s kind of thinking of your past and understanding yourself and uncovering your trauma, and becoming vulnerable once again. Truly eye opening
Not worth the mental torture. Maybe in the future it gets better but for now, not worth the headache.
