I was 100% expecting him to show up when Uyun confronted Jinhyeong's dad because Songrik could've recognized Jinhyeong's dad and recognized the same tactics he had used to drive him and Jinhyeong apart and either warn Uyun or accidentally spill a scalding hot coffee on Jinhyeong's dad as a revenge type of thing lol and also as a way for Songrik to sympathize with Uyun and perhaps reconcile with Jinhyeong. I also thought Eunho would meet him at his part time job but that didn't happen either why is the author so cruel gatekeeping him from us

His story is already over, many viewers actually don't expect him back, and why would they? Jinhyeongs ex-girlfriend already worked as plot device in that direction, it would be totally unnecessary to re-introduce a character that has no relevance to the plot whatsoever.
Songrik used secrets Jinhyeong told him, imagine how toxic he would be if they still together.
i think its plausible that the author could bring him back bc in their last scene tgr song-rik essentially says " lets meet when we've both healed ", so he could still be used as a plot device to signify jinhyeong's character arc
