i dont like the wording “decided to live as a _”… it makes it seem like being trans is a choice and that, before one has figured out that they are, say, trans masc, that they are a woman. its been scientifically proven that gender and sexual orientation is not a choice, and the wording chosen here dismisses that. bringing back that example from before, that trans guy has always been a man, they just hadn’t figured it out completely until later in life
