This would have been interesting and a great story if only the uke is the same age as the seme but seriously why did the author have to make a teacher and student relationship between them gawg what a waste of story

I think it makes it more interesting, the main premise of the story is that he’s his teacher, it would just be s typical student x student story, a totally different story since so many of the plot points are related to them being student and teacher. You’d have a different story altogether. It’s not just a “small” change to change the main couple dynamic like that.

Many people LIKE the dynamic of student x teacher, at this point you can’t demand that everything aligns with your preferences, just read something else instead of calling it “a waste of story”, there is nothing called “waste” when it comes to art

It's a wast of story. It's normal for students to fall in love with each other.
You're too funny and disguting. You talk about art as if normalizing this kind of thing won't have an impact. We're not going to let you talk nonsense, you fucking pdp lovers.

"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable" is a phrase that refers to the political nature of art, and how art should take you out of your comfort zone so you empathize with others.
It's not about pedo relationship manga lmao. What zero media literacy does to a mf.

You pretend to defend “art,” but in reality you willingly ignore the cultural and social impact certain works can have. This isn’t about satire, social criticism, or art meant to challenge people and make them uncomfortable in order to spark reflection. In many cases, especially with genres like loli in Japan, these works exist primarily to cater to fantasies.
And it’s exactly this kind of “absolute freedom of expression” argument that gradually normalizes pedophilic representations. When everything is excused in the name of art, some people end up consuming this kind of content without even feeling moral discomfort anymore, because they keep being told it’s “just fiction.”
You quote “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable,” but that phrase is about the political and social role of art: challenging norms, creating empathy, making people reflect on reality. Not acting as a shield for manga centered around pedophilic fantasies.
And ironically, if art can “disturb” people and influence how they perceive society, then you already admit that art has an impact on reality. Art reflects society, but it also shapes mentalities, influences cultural norms, and contributes to what becomes socially acceptable over time. Pretending these works exist in some moral or cultural vacuum is either naive or hypocritical.

Thank you, so much. That's a relief because i was really starting to feel alone and be like "wait why do they act like I'm wrong ?". Because it's so disappointing, manga tend to downplay content like this because japanese society downplays it. Why bury your head in the sand and call it art when it's a real problem ?
I know we can't change the world overnight. But if we can avoid consuming this kind of thing and condemn it, that's already a good start...

I hate those "it's just fiction"and "don't like it don't read it" imbecilic comments. They talk about media literacy, but downplays our current political climate and everything is political.
It's because consumers didn't boycott and cancel creators like boku no pico, super lovers, shota onii, etc., that the pedo culture in Japan is still thriving.
Why the fuck are rape and grooming always graphic and romanticized and constant in their works? Answer: they see it as normal.
Just look at their fucked laws

    Thank you again!
We are in a complicated period where we are literally aware that pedophiles are operating on the world and living freely without consequences.
But instead of doing something, people make meme and laugh about it. And they do the same thing with manga because what do you mean bocu no pico is niche ???? What do you mean "You're not a real manga fan if you didn't watch it" ???
Are they serious ??? How can they sleep knowing that adults can draw this kind of thing? Why aren't they angry? I really thought that with time and the popularization of yaoi, story would improve but no. And you're right about normalisation of rape, they see this as normal. Because why rape is changed by hardcore sex ? Why is the character being raped and yet talk about romance and feelings??? Or why the rapist say shit like "sorry, I couldn't resist" ??
That's how they normalized it too... And it's working, perfectly.
