Hey, so I've red it up to ch8 and I'm not really fond of Su-ah. Will there be some bigger character development or change, so that it's actually worth reading for me?

I would say wait on it s1 just ended right before we could really see that character development but it ISSSS a really good read I would recommend the pacing is really good ART IS AMAZING!!!
i dropped it early on because su ah isnt the only one with issues, juhyeok also has issues and it seemed rlly toxic at the time, but i started reading the later chapters and they seem to be at a stage where theyre STABLE, it seems like theyre going to be talking it out in the next season
