Seeing this again in the manga is so interesting, I feel like they've added a few extra expressions and things to make some interactions a bit more clear which is nice. Like The obligation Varkas has for the siblings I don't feel was explained as much until much later?
Also I still LOVE her knight he is such a cutie!!! Oh how I wish he were the ML life would be so much happier going forward.... There are so few characters that respect and want the best from Thalia without anything in return and the Knight is one of them ;-;

Also for anyone defending Gareth, guys he is old enough to know not to use violence against someone who would literally break in half without him even trying. He's not a child, but he is petulant (just like Thalia), the difference between him and Thalia is she can't actually hurt anyone, she has no power, and he has ALL of it.

I've been binging this the last few nights and first off I love love love it, the art the characters and Judith ofc <3
But before anything else I HAVE to bring up something right now
WHAT is going on with the family tree in this story?????
We've just had a reveal that Judith has Royal blood in her veins from her grandmother Margaret who's the old Emperor's sister. Now lets go back to Luca - his father was Jonas who had royal blood from Vanessa the daughter of the old Emperor. But... his mother Lalisal.... was the granddaughter of the old emperors sister Margaret??? So that makes Jonas and Lalisal ... SECOND COUSINS??
(I should not be shocked because royalty but I'm DYING how did these two manage to find each other and somehow have a child together in the mass of random people?!?!??!?!)
Anyway luckily Judith and Ruedigar (you couldn't have had an easier name to spell man..) are completely unrelated!!! I hope.... lolll
As for other thoughts, love our main couple and Judith is so so cute, it's also nice to see an older woman featured in this story - YES I KNOW 27 IS NOT OLD IM 27 ╥﹏╥
Also her clothes are so fun, very regency styled and also reminds me of cupcake frosting looool Love her dynamic with Luca (who I'm positive has gone back in time although I don't know why he was so protective over his aunt if he only remembered years of abuse? But me thinks maybe old Judith wasn't as evil as the book implied from what we've seen of the other characters??
Also please don't kill me but Frantz is... kinda hot.... NOT HIS ACTIONS but I just find his type really appealing!!! I do not condone him trying to kill a 10 year old ╥﹏╥

yeah, unfortunately lalisa and jonas are second degree cousins and i think judith had a flashback or shortly remembered that lalisa was going to a festival/party type of thing so probably her and jonas saw each other there + hooked up, i don’t remember if it was jonas of lalisa had the address of judith’s home and saying luca is his son but yea,
well judith and ruediger are not related cuz ruediger is the son of the duke and sophia who was ex-lady-in-waiting of the princess vanessa,
and i think it’s because judith was luca’s only family from mother’s side, luca probably didn’t want to lose her like the first time and actually be with his aunt, i think we saw that in the latest chapters but i don’t exactly remember when,

LUCAAAA He's definitely stuck in his child body and definitely used his wish to go back, I wonder if he's been so traumatized from Ruedigar's death that he's scared to get close to him again... but that makes me so sad :(
And omg he must HATE Frantz knowing what he does - tho I still wonder why he wanted to make Judith happy even knowing it was likely not his aunt? Maybe because she showed him so much affection in the one month they were together?

Started reading this a bit ago and just catching up my thoughts so far, im so sad I've completely fallen for Joseph but now i'm sure he's not the main lead now that Erez has shown up ;-; Erez is fine and I do like a silly mischievous LI, but I'm just such a huge sucker for the loyal knight trope - second lead syndrome is hitting me ╥﹏╥
Its LONG and I haven't finished it yet but poor Thalia :(
It's probably one of the most slowburn villainess stories I've read so far (which I'm always down for let me sit in angst and yearning) but at the same time Varkas is a bit of a pain LOL. Like when we get to the parts where we see his reasoning behind his actions it starts to piss me off lolol I wouldn't call how he feels right now love and I don't think he sees it that way either but he definitely cared for Thalia but even at the point I'm at in the novel where he truly cares for her he never TELLS HER. AND THAT PISSES ME OFF. Someone like Thalia has been burned and scarred by so many people and even a few words of reassurance would mean the WORLD for her and he says NOTHING!!
Anyway, it's interesting reading the webtoon now that I've read most of the novel and knowing Varkas wasn't completely unfeeling (it's a low bar but I've become so attached to Thalia that I get excited over the littlest crumbs of affection she receives when she deserves so much more :c)
Also her guard knight is THE BEST CHARACTER no competition I love that cutey patoot!
