Ch 63 update

I've been binging this the last few nights and first off I love love love it, the art the characters and Judith ofc <3

But before anything else I HAVE to bring up something right now
WHAT is going on with the family tree in this story?????

We've just had a reveal that Judith has Royal blood in her veins from her grandmother Margaret who's the old Emperor's sister. Now lets go back to Luca - his father was Jonas who had royal blood from Vanessa the daughter of the old Emperor. But... his mother Lalisal.... was the granddaughter of the old emperors sister Margaret??? So that makes Jonas and Lalisal ... SECOND COUSINS??

(I should not be shocked because royalty but I'm DYING how did these two manage to find each other and somehow have a child together in the mass of random people?!?!??!?!)

Anyway luckily Judith and Ruedigar (you couldn't have had an easier name to spell man..) are completely unrelated!!! I hope.... lolll

As for other thoughts, love our main couple and Judith is so so cute, it's also nice to see an older woman featured in this story - YES I KNOW 27 IS NOT OLD IM 27 ╥﹏╥
Also her clothes are so fun, very regency styled and also reminds me of cupcake frosting looool Love her dynamic with Luca (who I'm positive has gone back in time although I don't know why he was so protective over his aunt if he only remembered years of abuse? But me thinks maybe old Judith wasn't as evil as the book implied from what we've seen of the other characters??

Also please don't kill me but Frantz is... kinda hot.... NOT HIS ACTIONS but I just find his type really appealing!!! I do not condone him trying to kill a 10 year old ╥﹏╥

I was getting so into it but it ended there????

Started reading this a bit ago and just catching up my thoughts so far, im so sad I've completely fallen for Joseph but now i'm sure he's not the main lead now that Erez has shown up ;-; Erez is fine and I do like a silly mischievous LI, but I'm just such a huge sucker for the loyal knight trope - second lead syndrome is hitting me ╥﹏╥

Its LONG and I haven't finished it yet but poor Thalia :(
It's probably one of the most slowburn villainess stories I've read so far (which I'm always down for let me sit in angst and yearning) but at the same time Varkas is a bit of a pain LOL. Like when we get to the parts where we see his reasoning behind his actions it starts to piss me off lolol I wouldn't call how he feels right now love and I don't think he sees it that way either but he definitely cared for Thalia but even at the point I'm at in the novel where he truly cares for her he never TELLS HER. AND THAT PISSES ME OFF. Someone like Thalia has been burned and scarred by so many people and even a few words of reassurance would mean the WORLD for her and he says NOTHING!!

Anyway, it's interesting reading the webtoon now that I've read most of the novel and knowing Varkas wasn't completely unfeeling (it's a low bar but I've become so attached to Thalia that I get excited over the littlest crumbs of affection she receives when she deserves so much more :c)
Also her guard knight is THE BEST CHARACTER no competition I love that cutey patoot!

Maybe it's for the best it's only uploaded to this point because I cannot stop crying :(((
I've never felt so hurt for a character like this in ages, I hope she finds happiness aaaaa

I'm on Chapter 80 and guys *sob* I'm so happy!!!
I always fall for the second lead when they're like Ethan and I always get so so sad when they're pushed aside... I get it, for some characters someone like Ethan is a LOT. He's a liar, manipulative, kinda evil lol and can be selfish ( I say can be because we've also seen how much he sacrifices for Dorothy ;-;)
BUT like they say so many times in the story, no one understands Dorothy like Ethan does!!! They've both lived very similar situations and even before they went back in time they both supported each other - mostly Ethan lol. I was so worried when Dorothy said they only bring out the worst in each other that they could never be together - which fair enough - but I LOVED seeing how much they supported each other in the future even before they both revealed they had their memories, sigh (≧∀≦)

(I read another story quite a while ago about a villainess reincarnating back in time and wanting to change her ways, which is fine but she fell in love with her murderer and completed changed her personality into miss goody two shoes and it PISSED ME OFF. Not only that, there was a beautiful story with the original villainess and her only friend who always supported her, but of course he gets sidelined after her reincarnation and I just wanted to read about their story the whole time!!! Luckily I found this heheh)

And for the other characters, oh my god I hate the dad, I'm sure I'm not alone on that one lol. It's almost worse that he very very rarely shows self awareness, because how can you see you've done so many awful things and then not only not apologise but also CONTINUE to do them??? You do NOT deserve your children mister, and I'm sure your wife died to get away from you!! Ray is... kinda annoying lol. He's sweet but people like him kinda piss me off, they mean well but they don't really try to understand what's actually going on with people, it's almost like there's a toxic positivity with him? I love seeing him get along with Dorothy and hope he wises up a bit more. Love that the Julia isn't an evil MC lol and interested in whatever the fuck is going on with Theon lolol

And I love that she maintains her stance on what's important, she is trying to be good but they did a good job showing you shouldn't bow down to people to be a good person. I love Dorothy so much ;-;

I BINGED the hell out of this and just finished s2, need a big break because WTFFFFFFF
First off, I have been on a WIRLWIND of thoughts, at first I wasn't a huge fan of Ruby because she kept fake crying when she was angry and wouldn't ever say what was on her mind. But the webtoon does a really good job of putting you in her position and showing what prolonged abuse and conditioning does to someone, especially with her constant fawning behaviour to protect herself. It annoyed me how she acted around Iske at the start because it seemed like he would have responded better to her being truthful - but it was never about what would make him happy, that was never important. After seeing how she was around her awful brother - the constant appeasing and smiling - that was the ONLY thing she trusted, especially since Iske was always someone who would kill her (originally).
Anyway, I have cried and felt so much for Ruby, but I was also surprised how much I felt for Emilia and her struggle with her mother. Honestly this whole story features so many surprisingly realistic and harsh depictions of depression, anxiety, ED, abuse and PTSD. Its a hard read sometimes and i genuinely did not expect that from the start. While Iske doesn't have too much of a character on his own - I like him don't get me wrong but he's just not as complex as Ruby or Emilia - I do appreciate his presence as someone that can provide a healing environment for Ruby with his unconditional love, because oh my god my girl needs some healthy TLC.
Also while I do NOT like Cesar BLEH disgusting man, I do find it interesting how it brings up his relationship with his father and how he was raised to be the horrible person he is, even believing in his own twisted way that he was protecting Ruby from their dad - a lot of abusers do not believe they're the bad guy and he definitely thought he was doing something right.. ick

Anyway I'm gonna come back to this later when I'm mentally ready again... please tell me Ruby gets a break.. And also where is Enzo??? I hope he doesn't die in the war or smth he seemed so nice ;-;
