I was so on board with the direction of the first story and then suddenly this guys obvious choice is to groom a child!? My brain can’t fathom the thought process of realizing you wanted to raise a child as your son and thinking of them only as your son and then suddenly it’s ok to be romantic partners?!
The obvious answer is YES. What’s the point in hearing him say it just so the his heart can break even further?
This is a great Sisyphus inspired story. Just an endless loop of getting to the top only to fall back down again. I wish we could follow his arc in reaching true destruction.
I’m so sad. I didn’t think this would push the miscommunication trope for sooo long. I like them as a couple. I’m pretending this is the Jinx couple in an alternate universe but the miscommunication aspect is gonna drive me up a wall. I just know it.
