how will the author try to justify this lack of communication, man, these two went through so much stuff in the stages were you develop a sense of being that it doesn’t make any sense, no matter how traumatic it is, that they’re not talking about it. there has been so much reassurance about trust, love and support that any “it’s for your safety”, “i don’t think you’ll forgive me” will fell had assed and cheap. i keep reading because im holding onto the memory of how good this used to be, but it pains me so much to see how this is going.

ikr. that’s my problem: I’d like to read smut without there being explicit depictions of abuse because I’m not here for that. if it would’ve been like that since the beggining, I get it, you kinda know what you’re gonna get yourself into, but it’s always in the middle of it. same thing threw me off with honey trouble </3
And that's the main problem how normalized SA is in BL at this point, I'm reading BL for over 20 years, and seriously it's only getting worse, many readers defend it giving 'realistic' or 'tough topic' card, like... there is no such thing like sexualized and romantized rape in real life, as per definition rape is an abuse! Sexualized rape is female authors creation for rape fetish, that's it, but people are blinded already by such content, what is scary! I understand that many women have rape fetish, but it cannot be used as a standard plot device, without even addressing it correctly all the time and shallowed to 'smut' only... but for many all they need are hot characters and a lot of sex scenes no matter the context...and here we are... where for me plot, characters profile and their actions are on the first place, and sorry, rapist will not be 'hot' for me, especially when there is no redemption, but either way, there is no justification for this
And like you said, when I know that this is a rape focused series, I know what I'm getting into, but many times SA pushed in the middle of the game, without any context... that's just pathetic and poor writing, and this is why I'm so pissed honestly, because CONSENT is sexy, why pushing rape everywhere, since there is so many other possibilities to keep the plot going... but yeah, angst and sex sells, and rape is the easiest way to give both...easy money there are good series, even ongoing ones, where I'm not scared about SA, but this is minority, and this is just sad...
i think this is the first time I see plotless yaoi being cute without any abuse bs. it’s nice and I like how obsessed they are with each other and how protective jiha is of the baby. i would very much would’ve liked this to be a long story with actual development since you rarely get
if this season doesn’t end well i’ll just forget about it and go back to re read the first 4 as i always do. this is my back-from-work-i-need-a-sweet-break story and it’s staying like that
