Enzo would NOT kill him or do anything drastic to him. Yes he's a psycho. But. He said he wants to KEEP Rian and he actually started lusting for him after Rian showed how cunning he could be.
So.
If Rian puts two and two, he could realise the value he actually holds over Enzo and therefore - Escape his grasp. Or hold the situation over him somehow cause honestly I rlly want him to be more badass than he's shown so far

the author alr decided the position of each of them, and as far as i know the author doesnt play with switching, so it's fixed.
as for their relationship's dynamic, i think you forget something.
Rian, for better or worse, cares about his teammates. and we all know Enzo is a psychotic crazy, even when he alr realize he's head over heels for Rian.
he may wont hurt Rian (for now, but maybe if Rian keep pushing the wrong button i guess he will break Rian's leg, i can see it coming), but he will definitely hurt his teammates.
Enzo is someone who can cut off someone's tongue just to set an example for others, why wont he do that to Rian by using his old teammates?
Because we can follow the plot and read as a visitor. We are not in the story. We are reading it as it was intended to be. We might like and dislike things in it but we also understand its not real life. As well as not black and white.
