for y’all shocked, although nyc is really diverse there is a lot of racism. all the higher higher paying jobs are just full of white people mostly because of racism and the fact that more white people have better resources and education than poc due to racism from a while ago. the racism from back then made it so only white people succeed in which they could help their children succeed too while poc never had the chance to. even if poc can get in somewhere good, some will doubt their skills thinking they had a certain advantage for being poc and places now wanting to show their diversity, not having the proper skills to back it up. schools and companies only care for looking good in the public eye, not actually caring for the people.
the only reason why the white people do have better application are just the resources they were able to rise up with. they were able to take advantage of that and grow while majority of poc aren’t rich enough to provide for good education. the only education available are the shitty public schools regulated by common core bleh.
