The concepts and ideas behind the short stories were there, but the execution fell short. The first story didn't make sense by the end, and I found the entitled middle-aged man frustrating. The second story left me wishing for more chapters. It delivered a gut punch—seeing a man ready to sacrifice his pride and life for someone he truly loved, only to have it backfire on him. The third story, while confusing, seemed to explore the theme of fleeting love. It highlighted how a relationship can't work if only one person is making an effort, while the other is too afraid of getting hurt because of past experiences.
