This isn’t unusual and it’s easier said than done, and for his situation for goodness’s sake it was only 1 week to prepare everything before going for it ready but some people really do think that they’re unable to approach or say anything to someone without anything on them and even so hardly with the idea of making it perfect, and there IS a common saying for a reason that distance though not for everyone makes people closer with much reflection and especially when you’re thinking about becoming or whether are you serious to be someone’s partner and WANTED for a lifetime. In real life it is not easy and often not overwhelming because it is, that subconsciously you overthink and or overdo things and when you want to reunite with absolute resolution. We have seen them both just as anxious about what they were.

honestly, while stupid, i wouldn't mind it if he just did it to get a little payback for getting fully ghosted 7 years ago. yeah but that's not his boyfriend, he refused blondie when blondie asked. and before that, he just kept avoiding him. like, even if blondie just ghosted him (not returning with a ring), blondie didn't really have any responsibility towards him since blondie just kept getting rejected again and again.
