i just want to let the ppl know that for the past 4 days i finally reread this whole story and caught up with the latest chapter so i can finally understand what the hell is going on (bc i've been reading in gaps and forgot errything) and i come here to tell yall that u too should reread cause it's actually hella interesting and also i have a feeling it's ending soon. also if yall got questions abt the plot i could maybe answer since it's fresh in my mind idk

im gonna try not to get too detailed but there is a LOTTTT so pls bear with me
basically, shin was a street mechanic, jay is a cia agent working undercover as a high ranking Merciful (one of the biggest gangs in city, known for its close ties with high ranking officials). jay's #1 mission was to have Ross Trautvein (corrupt owner of casino Royal Roader) behind bars and uncover all the corrupt politicians working with him.
at the beginning shin thought jay was a gang member, jay gave shin a job to get him off the street at Lump Sparks where Caesar was undercover at for the mission. Gren is Shin's adoptive brother, he's a drug addict in a small gang called Mass, known for being a gang that carries out transactions/missions for the bigger gangs. Jay (undercover) intercepts a mission between Mass on order of Mercifuls and Ross. Jay tells one of them to testify against the Mercifuls and Ross in court, that was supposed to be the end, but Gren wakes up after being knocked out, kills Mass his whole crew and goes on the run (also he shoots jay and that's how we get that shower scene yah). Ross and the Mercifuls are hunting for Gren. Jay saves Gren from Ross and tells him to get out of the city. Gren ends up coming back to try and see Shin, but Shin tells him the same thing and to stay out of the city so Gren goes to a rehab center.
oh Ross has a thing for Shin and is constantly trying to get him to sleep with him. Shin punches him tells him it will never happen (also finds out Senator Connor is in ties with Ross too), Ross pulls out his commissions at Lump Spark which puts the garage in a rough spot. all the failed missions/drug deals is also putting Ross in a really rough spot with his connections.
knowing that he's desperate and will try to work with any gang now, Jay holds a mission as an undercover Calvin Skylar (? i think that was the name of the gang?, it's an up and coming also popular gang but not as big as the Mercifuls). this is where i get a little confused but basically it's a drug (?) exchange between Ross, another biker gang, and the Calvin Skylars. they have this exchange in a suuuuper shady junkyard where Shin finds himself at bc he's trying to find good parts for the garage. Ross ends up finding Shin, and holds him captured.
jay's initial plan was to be given a signal and have him and some agents ambush the exchange and that wouldve been the end to Ross. Connection fails on jay's ear device and shin is about to get killed so Jay just kills everyone (but Ross) and they flee the scene. shin finds out jay is actually a CIA agent. they split (go no contact for prob a few weeks). Shin quits the shop. Jay is called off the whole mission for messing it up.
Gren is getting better, tells Shin that he really wants to see him. they meet up, Ross finds them tg and captures them. Ross shoots Gren, Shin puts Ross at gunpoint and tells him to leave. Gren is dying so Shin calls Jay for help. jay burns the place down, they take Gren out but it's already too late he dies. jay and shin make up, Shin tells him he wants to join the mission for revenge. Rolfe (jay's boss essentially) is called off /her/ mission for not protecting Senator Connor's image so now theyre all just trying to take Ross down.
they (shin, caesar, jay) attend Ross's royal roader charity party to retrieve a device they put on Senator Connor's car that has evidence. Benille (another higher up Merciful, considered one of the heads of the gang) tells Jay to ride with him after the party cause theyre gonna have a final exchange with Ross. Ross and Connor are burning some evidence against them, Connor tells Ross to kill Jay and Benille. Jay and Benille come, Ross tells Benille that jay is undercover, Benille says it was always his plan to kill Jay anyway. Jay smoke bombs and kills mostly everyone. Ross goes on the run, Shin picks up Jay, they car chase him. Shin has Ross cornered, Ross shoots Shin in the stomach, Jay knocks Ross out cause they need him alive.
now the flashback is like the start of how the mission began. Jay is assigned to get this gary guy who is sending military info to an official idk. but it basically reveals this gary guy is in ties with Connor and that's kinda how things come full circle.
but yeah that's where we're at now. i left SOOOO much out but i think this is all u should know to understand where we're at now
