Yeah we need Yuu to outwardly reject him then he moves to a college far away and time skip 9 years later they meet again because Tsubaki coincidentally picked the college that Yuu went to. Now the real romance begins and Yuu and Tsubaki become friends and Yuu reminiscences about the past over drinks and joking about Tsubakis old crush to which he feels offended. Yuu gets wasted tsubaki brings him home and Yuu comes onto him but Tsubaki rejects it because he wants Yuu for more than his body and he knows that Yuu is way too drunk. Next day Yuu wakes up to Tsubaki next to him and feels real fuckin embarrased but the misunderstanding is cleared up quickly as Tsubaki makes it clear nothing happened and he missed the last train.
