Well I’m pretty sure it’s full of rape and psychological torture, at least from what I remember, and it’s probably why it has such low reviews

But this one just hits different and I like how strong the MC is.
Especially that part when they broke the 4th wall talking about how we, the reader, hopefully finds someone the one we’re meant to be with. Made me tear up a lil bit looking back at my previous relationship who made me feel worthless and unloved. This is so cute, I want a love like them
Like I get that the ML comes from a rich family and has connections, but how has the MC never stopped to think that what the ML did to him is basically just as bad, if not worse, than the brother beating the ML up? If we’re being realistic, the MC was literally kidnapped and forced into doing things he didn’t want to do. Even if that’s common in the yaoi world, it’s still a crime. The brother beating up the ML honestly feels way more tame compared to everything the ML put the MC through
The simple answer is that deep down MC loves him. He doesn’t want him to get hurt. It’s not that he really hates the ML and the things he’s done, it’s more like MC’s pride is hurt because of it. He doesn’t want to give in despite liking him, because ML rejected him first. That last part MC already thought that his brother misunderstood the situation like it was against his will. Which just shows mc didn’t mind the things ML did.
Can a kind soul explain to me what just happened?
First, what we saw from Yuwon’s pov isn’t accurate which is likely due to head trauma from the accident. What he remembered was that Dohoon got bullied but it was him who got bullied and Dohoon was trying to protect him.
Second, we saw everything from Dohoon’s pov, what he went through, his family, when he first met Yuwon, and so on. His mother is a mistress, his father is a shitty man, and his half brother released his anger/anxiety on him because of pressure from that shitty father and everyone around him.
This shows how much society has failed two of them

Man can we all take a moment to grieve Gren’s death, his character is so tragic. Yeah sure both him and Shin almost led the same life and suffered the same, both of them just chose different ways of surviving. It just so happens that Gren isnt the main character and therefore he doesn’t have the plot armor on him. I hope Gren lives a good life on his next one (even tho this is entirely fictional).

I agree. I remember when he had died and people were either glad that he had died (cuz now he wouldn’t “bother” Shin anymore) or said that they didn’t care (cuz he wasn’t an important character for them), and some even said that he deserved it (cuz that’s the path he “chose”) or that it was expected (cuz “all addicts die”). I was baffled by people’s prejudices, insensitivity, indifference and callousness. Regardless if he was a drug addict and they hadn’t been in contact for a while, he was still Shin’s closest kin, not all addicts die or even deserve to die, and it wasn’t his fault so yeah, I felt very bas for Gren too ╥﹏╥
Finally someone who is on the same page as me. I had to skip the smut scene after his death bcs it just didn’t feel right. And the fact that he was trying so hard to come clean for his hyung :(( made me so sad. I was hoping for him to actually become clean and run away from the thug life and then start going to school. But I guess the author just has different plans for him. May he rest in peace :((
Agreed with this. He’s such a cutie patootie too, he was raising so many death flags, I kinda figured he wouldn’t make it to the end of the story
I know! He loved his hyung so! I was rooting for him too and hoping that he would be able to turn his life round and like you said, go to school and maybe even become a sculptor like Matthew in UTGL but no ╥﹏╥ yeah, the author really dgaf about him which we could clearly tell by all the names he had, I commented about this very thing a long time ago wondering if the inconsistency with his name was a sloppy miss by the author or a translation error but I think it’s the former since she killed him off. Throughout the story his name was: Gren Heim, Grens Heim, Grens Heims, Gren Heims. Like?（TДT)
He’s like so assertive and dominant which is for me a breath of fresh air considering how bottoms in other BL manhwas are portrayed. Don’t get me wrong, there’s no problem with the typical cute innocent bottoms, it’s just that Joshua is so cool with how he knows what he wants and he isn’t afraid to just make it happen. I’m just scared for the future chapters when Chase finally finds out he’s omega, but I’m sure they’ll be fineeeee
Haneul reminds me so much of myself honestly, I resonate with his character a lot, his disorganized attachment, and how he is overall. He triggered a past memory LOL when he suggested breaking up because he didn’t wanna make Dajeong suffer more. Literally me with my ex (just wanna share LOL)
