YESSS!! Im so happy with how this ended. This is what true love is about. Get it TJ!! My boy needs to release 2 years worth of pressure and the only one capable of handling that is Ian. So glad both of them overcame their struggles and are beginning something new for the better. Seems like Ian finally escaped after all. I can’t think of a better, more satisfying ending.
Jo barely knows Ian and was about to straight up murder a dude - that’s infatuation and given his lack of experience it doesn’t translate to love like so many of you think. On the other hand, it’s unfair to crucify Tj for things that Ian is also guilty of which is the classic “product of environment”. I think what matters is that Tj made the choice to give up that lifestyle to be with Ian. Ian isn’t running away from Tj, he’s running away from the life of violence. Jo was the only person to offer him a different path, an unconditional escape. But now that Tj has come to terms with his feelings, that’s no longer the case. If Ian is worthy of a better life after the things he’s done, why isn’t Tj when Tj has ultimately sacrificed more than anyone for Ian. No one involved is innocent anymore. I’m rooting for Tj although I suspect it won’t be a clear victory for anyone.
Are we forgetting the fact that Ian ran away from the environment in the first place is because he was probably coercion by Jason who wanted TJ to join but TJ told him he wanted Ian in it too. Protecting is the bare minimum. Ian also sacrifice just as much if not more. He blames himself believing that the reasons TJ is in the organization is because of him. He stayed in that environment for TJ. He gives forgiveness toward TJ wrongdoings towards him and still care about him. He took a bullet for TJ. I don't get why we have to drag Ian down just to uplift TJ or Jo.
You guys are forgetting that this is Jo’s first time experiencing a connection like this with a guy. It’s like meeting your first love in high school when your brain and identity are experiencing all that sexual intensity for first time with nothing to compare it to. The novelty, hormones, and emotional imprinting make it feel singular and eternal, even if it’s really just formative. It’s powerful because it teaches you what love feels like, not because it’s the most accurate or lasting version of it. That’s why Jo is left shocked and confused at his own actions for the sake of someone he actually barely knows. But what Ian and Tj have has stood the test of time. There’s no question to Tj that Ian is his forever one because their feelings have survived past a honeymoon period and continues in spite of the differences and struggles. Tj sacrificed quite literally everything for Ian and he made that choice truly from the heart. Jo is very sweet and idyllic but there are plenty of fish in the sea for him to explore. Ian is the only for Tj and vice versa.
I’m not saying TJ is perfect but context matters. They grew up on the streets and inside a gang system built on manipulation and violence. Ian certainly lied and manipulated too. I think what matters is the intent or the reasons behind it. Ultimately, TJ stayed and rose through the ranks so Ian wouldn’t have to. Because of that, Ian survived and eventually escaped that life. If TJ had walked away earlier, Ian’s outcome would’ve been far worse. TJ amassed power and money not for himself, but to give Ian a chance at something safer and better.
Did TJ do messed-up things? Absolutely. But calling it intentional torture ignores the larger system at play. I think the harm Ian suffered is the consequence of an organization that brutalized everyone inside it - something he expresses multiple times - and that’s the force that propels him on his tragic journey.
But in the end, TJ walked away from the only life he’d ever known because Ian mattered more.
did Ian tell you he want all that?? what the point of the large sysmtem when someone you love suffer bc of it...please TJ say it himself that he is nothing without the gang...he want all of that and keep Ian with him suffering just bc he dont want to let him go...he has 20 years to do something to fix himself to do better and still choose not too..
"If TJ had walked away earlier, Ian’s outcome would’ve been far worse." how did you know that?? being in jail is not worse enough?? if his life going worse let it be..At least it happen bc he has choose it himself Ian deserve everything...he is caring and selfless that why people like TJ always take advantage of him..he know that and he still care, dont you think he deserve better?? and TJ is deserve some jail time to refect on himself bro fuck up too many time already
I’m a big fan of the L.O.R.D. film in spite of the difficulty in making sense of it due to the lack of an official English translation of the creator’s work. It has a lot of potential in many ways - if you can manage to make sense of it. I like this series because it fleshes out the details of the film and work at large to make the story more understandable for those of us needing a translation. So I think this is wonderful and it’s currently my favorite to get updates on!

Now we need a new story about Jo finding his partner in crime
