It comes to an end!!! Yeowoon and Jigu have their happy ending. Y’all, it may feel short, but those who were here since the beginning like me (randomly stumbling a couple chapters in from upload) we have been in the trenches for YEARS and y’all don’t even know the levels of slowburn this story inflicted. I’m just happy they got together and had fun smut times, but tbh the best part of this story was always the rollout and how long and realistic the get together was for then, and of course the game!
It may be sad that things are ending, but if my hunch is right, don’t worry - more peak can be expected! Because the next novel is Love Games, and if you loved neutaaaa and Ji9star’s dynamic, you are in for round 2 (but dare I say even BETTER?!?!?!?!?!) with Cheon Noeul and Meowie. We’ve already gotten some tidbits during this story, so I’d be SHOCKED if we don’t get more, it is basically repeat of the dynamic feel which if you didn’t love from this story you may want to skip (but also why are you here then?), Cheon Noeul lowkey is Jigu energy on steroids. I am SO excited and if you haven’t read Love Games novel, I highly suggest it in the meantime. I looooooove the story so much and will have another reread again to celebrate My Guildmate Next Door concluding spectacularly.
Thank you to the translation team - without you, we would get to know neutaaaa and Ji9star and see Yeowoon and Jigu come to life, I truly don’t know if it’d be as big as it is now if it weren’t for those early days!
Looking back at when I first favorited, I was here since chapter 6 unofficial posting at latest (when it was still Cosmic Cat Scans!). Damn! It’s been such a long time but so worth it. It was really the trenches but I’m so glad to have experienced the slowburn truly from the start
So his LETTER and ONE PHONE CALL crash out is what has resulted in this story getting much worse bc Yoonwon decides to believe a random lying redhead?!? And effs up Won Dae’s life living his college dream when Dae intentionally doesn’t want to go if Yoonwon isn’t there?

Y’all complaining just don’t understand… do you see this story with Taehwi trying so hard and the sad nugu idol life juxtaposed by the gen leader, the tension…. The smexiness is secondary and the comedy exemplary. THIS is Manhw excellency
I literally am shaking in my boots in anticipation for Meowie and Cheon Noeul. If you loved this story it’s more of the same except Cheon Noeul is kind of Jigu/Earthy but more extreme. They’re DEFINITELY planting seeds for the follow-up, which could be an extension directly to this production or independent as a spin-off. I love the novel and reread it often and really hope they do it justice (I think they will based on how this has gone) + I hope the art remains peak, I can’t wait to see them illustrated irl. (There shouldn’t be much nsfw if a faithful adaptation, so another big slowburn)
… and I loved how this started. And I loved their dynamic, but S3 is just so different, and I cant hate it because I love looking at them and want them to be happy but are we really doing this right now? We could have 100% continued S2 longer, gotten revenge, and happy side stories, yet here we are on some convoluted plot extension with plot armor that makes 0 logical sense from reality and what we know. But I can’t stop looking bc I’m too invested in what we had…
The treat me like a hyung to revenge reverse card in the first 10 chapters was so good and could’ve been amazing why did we not resolve the bullying arc at all in season 2 and in fact why have we regressed in season 3 please author let’s reconsider drama and go back to happy sexy times (one of the top Korean comments I saw was something along the lines of “let’s hire a scriptwriter…”)
Yeah I dont enjoy them either but this rating overall is a reflection of reading those starting chapters, like everyone else is saying the backstory has lifted this a LOT and I also was engrossed, to the point I don’t recall the rest of the story and its potential faults, the art fits what I like and it’s really interesting character development
This author did not depict this relationship as very cute or romantic lol, but I loved it anyways. It was in their own way, just a bit funny and messy. The smut is absolutely peak
… instead of all that abuse. Like… the sides were peak. This could have totally been way more peak than the reading experience truly was if they’d just been positively obsessed with each other and fun like this instead of unnecessarily abusive and toxic lol
