It's set in the chinese empire kinda setting, this girl is like a slave but she uses her magic to become a concubine. The king and she fall in love (kinda) but he is using her to take away power from his mother. Simultaneously, she is also plotting. I don't remember the details but I think his mother killed a lot of people and he doesn't have real power. The fl was also from a royality but her family was killed.
