we are close to a lot of the main plot points already like for example the ml finding out the the mc knows about his night personality (doesnt rlly end well btw, knowing how the mls personality is, he gets mad af) and etc. imo the story is pretty good to me theres a lot of emotional aspects that i enjoyed

okk soo i tried to summarize the novel from wat i remember and not too vague so beware this is a long ahh read like veryy long. this continues from manhwa ch 21

So right now currently we are in the hospital scene. Shinwoo’s night personality gets jealous that Shinwoo and Jihan are sharing a room together. Obviously enough, the night personality is under the impression that he and Jihan are dating (becus they did sexual stuff n Night Shinwoo saying that everything was his first?!? ye idk), so when Night Shinwoo woke up and saw that Jihan and the true Shinwoo were sharing a room he felt betrayed by Jihan saying things such as, “Hyung how can you do this to me? Why are you having an affair?” etc while bawling his eyes out. Although Jihan doesnt correct night Shinwoo because he thought it would be a hassle to see him cry further if he corrected him. So the misunderstanding of night Shinwoo and Jihan dating further deepens.

Morning comes by and true Shinwoo finds himself waking up to him being in the same bed as Jihan. Of course he was sus on why hes was in Jihans bed and why he slept so easily despite not taking any sleeping pills. Shinwoo then admires Jihans beauty n thought that this was the first time he ever truly cared about someone enough to take in every detail of the other persons features. After admiring our MC, Shinwoo gets suspicious again, but this time about his Night personality. He has thoughts such as, “Did the two of them meet? Did Jihan notice? Is that why I ended up in the same bed with him?” True Jihan refers to his Night personality as a Disease (i lwk find that sad bro imo) and that even the thought of thinking that his Night personality was mingling w Jihan made him feel uneasy.

Jihan then wakes up and True Shinwoo pretends to sleep. Jihan then remembers last night and how Night Shinwoo and Jihan had a lovemaking sessions because of the demands of Night Shinwoo. Jihan questions why he let himself continue that and what not (we know why lol). He then tries to cope by saying that the two personalities are totally different and are different individuals. Our MC then starts admiring True Shinwoos beauty as well. (dubb) True Shinwoo then suddenly talks, startling Jihan. He says that when sleeping with someone next to him he often hugs the other person, making it an excuse on why he was in Jihans bed. Of course the sudden reaction surprises Jihan.

Since Jihan is still in a cast, he struggles to use chopsticks to place meat in his spoonful of rice to eat. Shinwoo notices and of course in his own way helps Jihan eat by placing the meat on Jihans spoon. The two come across a little boy. They play ball with him a lil, and Jihan observes that True Shinwoo seems to adore children as hes beaming ever so brightly with his smile and demeanor towards the little boy. This captivates Jihan. (these werent rlly that relevant to the story, besides implying when they started caring for each other, but i thought it was cute so i included them. of course ik that these parts are crucial in a romantic aspect though so maybe some of u guys will enjoy it)

As the two are back in their hospital room, Shinwoo continues to have suspicions on the night he woke up in Jihans bed at the hospital. Especially after hearing Jihan mumble to himself when Shinwoo pretended to sleep. It bothers him so much that it’s frustrating and he then decides not to sleep because he hates the idea of the two (jihan and his night personality) meeting behind his back. Even after deciding that though, he stills ends up falling asleep, to his surprise. Another night comes by and Jihan falls asleep before Shinwoo. Shinwoo found it amusing that Jihan had a simple side to him. He then admires Jihan (again) and feels some sort of sensations that he found unpleasant. he hated it but he himself ends up falling asleep too.

Shinwoo then wakes up, mad af that he fell asleep. He was sus that he was feeling lethargic still despite sleeping. So he then suspects that could it be that while he thought he was asleep, someone else was awake and active? he thought that this was a perfectly reasonable suspicion. As his final straw Shinwoo decides to record their last night in the hospital on his phone.

Night comes around and Jihan and Night Shinwoo get into it sexually (they dont go all the way js kissing basically) Jihan knows its wrong to be doing this but Night Shinwoo is too persistent to ignore.
The two are then discharged the next day and arrive back in the apartment, Shinwoo encourages Jihan to go out thinking Jihan wants to go out to “have sex”. While Jihan is out, Shinwoo listens to the recording from the night before. Of course he gets mad asf as he listens to the audio. He starts raging and destroying the room after hearing himself talk sweetly to Jihan.

Jihan comes back after visiting the dojo he use to train at when he was younger. He then enters and realizes the whole place was a mess. He at first thought they were robbed by a stranger but then he sees Shinwoo. Shinwoo approaches Jihan, cornering him against a wall and goes in for a dry kiss. He then gets mad that Jihan didnt avoid it. Jihan was confused because he thought that the Shinwoo in front of him was the Night one, but based off of his anger he doubts it. Shinwoo gets mad again and pretty much implies that he knows about the two of them now. Jihan is of course shocked on how? how much? etc. Jihan then realizes that this was entirely his fault. Shinwoo then asks if the two of them slept together and if Jihan has been sleeping with other ppl besides his Night personality. Jihan denies both of course. They continue arguing and in those arguments both sides say hurtful things to each (my heart started aching when i read ts). As Jihan tries to leave, Shinwoo grabs him and Jihan demands him to let go, Shinwoo doesnt. Jihan forces himself free and starts apologizing to Shinwoo for not informing him and that he regrets it. (ts hurt bro) As Jihan was fr about to leave, Shinwoo lookes at him w reddended eyes and head slightly down saying, “Dont go.” Jihan, after hesitating, leaves anyways.

After coming back Jihan treats Shinwoos self inflicted wounds. Shinwoo questions why Jihan came back, especially after he insulted him so much. Shinwoo atp was so pathetic and pitiful that even though he wasnt crying, it might as well have been worse. Shinwoo kisses him suddenly, breakin Jihans current thoughts. They continue having a kiss session and then Shinwoo breaks the session by asking Jihan to go fully w him, since Jihan hasnt w his Night personality. Jihans first time taking, was bad. Shinwoo was rough and didnt prep him properly. Night Shinwoo comes around and makes amends for True Shinwoos actions, and makes Jihans second time better.

For one of shinwoos acting shoots, Jihan suggest for Shinwoo to take a nap during on of the breaks in the van. True Shinwooo sleeps but then Night Shinwoo wakes up and ends up feeling betrayed by Jihan and runs away from Jihan using a car. Jihan looses Night Shinwoo for a couple hours, and as he is running/driving around looking for him he receives a call.

Meanwhile True Shinwoo wakes up to being kidnapped and tied down to a chair. The one who kidnapped him is js some rando (basically not someone important). Rando tells Shinwoo why he killed his mother and brother and basically makes Shinwoo relive/rethinks his trauma again about his adoptive hyung and mother. Rando then pours gasoline everywhere and says that he also wants to k*ll Jihan because he was a nuisance when he tried w his earlier attempts. He sets the gasoline on fire then he sets up a “trap” by calling Jihan on Shinwoos phone, Shinwoo of course pitifully begs Jihan not to come. Jihan does anyways. (fuck yeaaa) The three get into a scuffle where Jihan was injured by the rando. Shinwoo started beating the rando half to death because he witnessed Jihan being injured to the point of almost losing consciousness, but before he could he was stoped by Jihan.

They’re at a hospital now and its been a couple days since and Jihan still hasn’t woken up. True Shinwoo has been by his side ever since they arrived at the hospital without moving, eating or sleeping. When Jihan finally opened his eyes and woke up, was the only time when Shinwoo finally got up and left. After some time (i think wks if i remember correctly) Shinwoo “fires” Jihan. He fires him because Shinwoo realizes that Jihan always gets injured because hes around Shinwoo (well no shi cus hes ur bodyguard..) Shinwoo accommodates Jihan though with a hefty sum of money enough to live for several yrs. Jihan is of course confused and retaliates but Shinwoo was firm. Shinwoo forces Jihan to move out as well

During the seperation, True Shinwoos night personality emerges, he cries as memories from before resurface. He knows deep down Johan is no longer there but he still yearns for him anyways with tears running down his face. Meanwhile Jihan is on his way back to Shinwoos apartment and when he arrives he opens the enters and sees Night Shinwoo. He comforts him of course until Night Shinwoo goes t sleep. After a short while True Shinwoos emerges and after cuddling for a little True Shinwoo retaliates and tries to get up but Jihan grabs him before he could leave. True Shinwoo then asks why Jihan came back, and that Jihan will regret it. But the Jihan states that he knows Shinwoo likes him and that Jihan also likes him. After the heartfelt confessions and proposal from Jihan to continue working as Shinwoos bodyguard, they have s*x.

(atp, the hardships of the story are already done now, so now we are going to dive deeper into Jihans and Shinwoos relationship and dynamic)

Shinwoo gets jealous throughout his days with Jihan when the two are with other staff. Although on a particular day, when everyone was having late night barbecue Shinwoo got drunk. Jihan notices and tries to take Shinwoo home. Once the two of them are alone, Shinwoo asks Jihan why he likes him, is it pity? If so then Shinwoo isnt someone who needs pity. After a short while Jihan says its becuz Shinwoo is handsome. Lalalla time passes n Night Shinwoo emerges and pretty much reiterates what True Shinwoo remembers. This is the starting point where Jihan realizes that Night Shinwoo is starting to remember what True Shinwoo does during the day and possibly vice versa.

Night Shinwoo and Jihan get intimate and then the morning rises. True Shinwoo wakes up before Jihan and remembers what Night Shinwoo and Jihan did the night before. Shinwoo then starts getting into his own head and starts overthinking. He gets anxious on whether Jihan will be with him forever. Shinwoos obsession and possession over Jihan began to stain his mind.

Over Shinwoos filiming schedule, otw to a set, Shinwoo was acting indifferent and Jihan notices this. Jihan then tries to comfort Shinwoo. While doing so, Jihan reassures Shinwoo that he truly likes him. A lot. When the return to film its Shinwoos part to kiss the female lead of the film. Jihan looks away and ends up walking away to light a cigarette. This is Jihans first time being jealous over Shinwoo (kyaa). When he comes back he find out that Shinwoo didnt kiss the actor, instead he made an excuse to avoid kissing her. Jihan couldn’t help but smile when he met the gaze of Shinwoos. (bro ts cute af to me)

After the filming is done they arrive at a villa, Shinwoo tries to delay the dinner between the actors and filming crew to have some alone time with Jihan. They of course have intimate s*x again. After the love making the have some cute moments on the balcony. Shinwoo restates his worries that Jihan would leave him but Jihan reassures Shinwoo saying that even if Shinwoo were to hate him, Jihan would still stay. After playful remarks and moments towards each other Jihan realizes he doesnt separate Shinwoo from the “day” nor the “night.” Shinwoo began to shed those two opposing sides to return to being a single, complete self. They start getting intimate again and during that they finally drop the love bomb towards each other.
