Yes maybe you're right, but I love complex characterization in fiction and questionning the relationships. It feels more interesting to me ! But ofc good black hair boy is good too

I definitely prefer dochan over Joohyuk, but eunoh and red hair just have such an interesting dynamic. Is it toxic? Yes. But it’s interesting to read. There are so many ways the creator can develop and further examine their relationship. (Dochan and the MC is also interesting to me, but they just met)

Additionally, I think red hair being “redeemed” is a potential outcome. I don’t think I can forgive what he’s done, but at the very least he can become aware of how he’s harmed the MC and atone. Regardless of who the MC ends up with, I want him to be able to reconcile with red hair and for them to actually communicate to clear up their misunderstandings.

I see your point. But, I can’t agree with it. But, I understand your point of view. I don’t find board line abusive relationships or people interesting nor redeemable. I much rather prefer them just to sit down and talk it out and just never see each other. Similar to how another BL Manhwa “Back to School” ended (One of my personal favorite)

I don’t find their relationship interesting. I think the BL relationships I found complex and interesting (sorry there are drama lol) 1000 Stars, Candy Color Paradox, Bad Buddy, and Mr. Unlucky; Yes, some of these couples lie or just didn’t like each other. But, they weren’t emotionally manipulating each other or holding a thing over each heads just to fuck.
It just might come down to our taste.
I love a good relationship that isn’t friends/strangers to lovers, I love seeing them work to get together (just like you said) it’s more interesting lol. But, if it involves emotionally and physically hurting each or just plain manipulation it give me the icky…

I love these as well ! I think every well-written relationship and character development is interesting to be fair ! I do understand that emotional and physical pain can not be for everybody, but as we are talking about fictional characters, it doesn't bother me as much because I don't have adult trauma relating to this specific subject. Ofc I also have my own triggers ;;
