I feel like I have a lot of problems with this. I love omegaverse shit but I also dont like rape ( I can handle dubious consent to a certain extent but still). This is one of those omegaverse manga that bother me because an otherwise dope ass omega becomes pretty much a nonentity. His goals dont matter, his intelligence doesn't matter, his choice doesn't matter(because the alpha took them all away) and theres no effort made to make that better for him.
The alpha doesn't do the whole I love who you are as a person, its I love the idea of you and I'm gonna take you because your an omega and I can do that. I dont hate this manga but it makes me uneasy. Personally I want to read about a couple who wants to be together and who can come together in a healthy way and this definitely didnt give me that.
The art was pretty tho.
When I first stated this the senpai immediately became my favorite. I too, come from a big family although I’m definitely not in the exact same situation. The nonconsent was infuriating because it was such a violation to the lovely character and all he believed in and worked his butt off for. It made me so made when he was over at his house and Senpai couldn’t get him off of him until he cried and slapped him. And then, it gave him nightmares. Such an honest character was put down this way.
But, as said, the art was super pretty.
I feel the saaaaaaaame. I was like why is this not a thing where he's supporting this super great guy that he supposedly "loves". Like after that second rape the alpha was pretty much irredeemable in my eyes. But like he still got worse. In the end it was like I didnt even recognize the senpai, like he literally became just this thing to have sex with. Uuuuughghhh.
Like when he said he was his sex slave I was really upset because he really pretty much was. It also irked me when the underclass man had the audacity to say he wasn’t. Like you raped him twice and then fucked him in a Goddard wedding dress all after making a one sided pair. To be blunt, what a son of a bitch
I knooooooooow. And it's not even just the one wedding dress, this dude made six. He didnt ask the senpai whether he was into that, it was gonna happen because he wanted it. And then hes talking about getting him pregnant again. Like bruh your both in high school chill the fuck out. I'm so frustrated because I really wanted this to be good and instead my fave character had everything I liked about him either taken away or made inconsequential. God I hate when a strong character is made into a doll.
He also said something about a, like, baseball team of god damned children. Like your in high school, as was said. And Senpai put a lot of emphasis on how hard he had to study. It was one of the reason the guy named for becoming idk obsessed w/ him. Like ugh.
I'm just......... never gonna read this shit again. It's not cute, it's not romantic and I could just as easily read a good omegaverse. It just disturbs me that someone created this, sent it out into the universe and it actually resonates with people. Like wtf
I also do think that out of the omegaverses I've read, this is the worst in the storyline,, well yeah they put many fluffy scences and the art is okay, no offense, but I just don't like the way the omega's family and the alpha treated the omega.. I wld still rather read something more sense like kashikomarimashita destiny
I knew this was gonna happen as soon as a saw those shady fucker but I was really hoping I was just jaded. But nah, we got put in the obligatory rape scene
ikr i hate it when yaoi takes this kind of typical rape route. We were foolish to think anything could ever be different.... Though I'd have to seriously wonder whats the point of doing this kind of scenes since I doubt anyone really enjoys seeing the mc get sexually harassed by someone besides their main love interest....
i used to be able to just move past the obligatory uke almost gets raped scenes. But now its gotten to the point that it ruins stories for me. This one had my attention and i was loving the characters... then we were struck with that almost rape scene. Just annoying at this point.
