genuinely my second time reading this and i definitely remember why I only read it once. somehow, this story manages to slam the door on my face and smash my toes with the same blow. the special chapter showing them after high school felt so heartwarming that i feel bad for how much i wish for side stories. i’m glad the author decided to keep candy alive ,,, i really don’t know what I would’ve done at that point. great great story
its not exactly the same and some people might not get this but this series really reminds me of Netflix’s black mirror episode , “White Bear”. f you know, you know.
I know with series like this the biggest conversation topic/argument is, “fiction doesn’t affect reality” or something to that point, but this and white bear like I mention really does make you question people’s ability to keep their humanity with wanting to get revenge on someone , especially when the key point is that the character getting revenged on is suffering from “amnesia”. It’s always a tough watch/read but I’m just a little bias on that because I’m really queasy with black flag stories.
Ah that ep was like one of the best! My jaw was on the floor. It was super unpredictable
I think some people dont care about trowing out their humanity when it comes to punish someone that did such henious things. Like some people would go on a pedo killing spree for exemple. Also sometimes criminals just get the """wrong person""" (not that there is a right victim obviously) a person that does not care about societal morals around revenge that much, that only needs a little push.
The "ethics" of that revenge kinda dont matter for this group of people. They wont care about "two wrongs wont make a right" or cliche stuff like that, cause they aint trying to make it right in the first place.
Honestly this story was a big ass shit storm but the side story where it dealt with pregnancy made me realize how lucky we are that this story was NOT an omega verse one.
Also i’m probably in the minority but I 100% feel like if you have to justify your ending/pairing in the side stories and not in the main storyline,,, you lose me. The ending was definitely bittersweet but what pisses me off is that giving us the first side story being a “what-if” and showing that the bottom is just being used equally the same just without his memories being lost and then the 3rd side story being the actual continuation of the story kinda felt like to me, that the author was trying to show that things could’ve been worse. and that’s just icky to me.
And some people need a reality check,, you shouldn’t have been ruining for the ML or the blonde. THEY WERE BOTH SHITTY ASS PEOPLE TO THE MC. but trying to act like the blonde was the better ‘option’ is diabolical especially when he quite literally r@pes the MC and takes advantage of him when he’s sleeping/drunk. It DISGUSTS ME in that one chapter where he stops tryna have his way with the MC because he called the other guys name out of “standard ”. YOU’RE. STILL. A. PIG.

i think it’s weird how it seems like the author makes several time-jumps happen each chapter and then has to pull out some bs storyline to continue the story. I mean the chapter after their honeymoon they state that it’s been 7/8 years since then,, LIKE I JUST READ IT???? now Amber hasn’t have his memories anymore and I just don’t see the point. Will the story finally end when he gets his memories back or will ANOTHER thing happen?
I always found sex talk in stories funny and a little bit overboard, but for this story I genuinely can’t take Amber saying “Tennessee” every single time seriously. It’s just such a mouth full. (pun-intended)
Yeah, they could have at least included a box at the start that said ~8 years later or something lol
