It’s from Celtic folklore! I didn’t describe it accurately earlier but the “coats” are actually the selkie’s seal skin, and wearing the skin lets the selkie shape-shift between human and seal form. Reading all kinds of folklore is really interesting because there so many stories that take inspiration from them.

As hella slowburn this is, the development and spicyness goes hard. ESPECIALLY the spicyness. I’m literally going to be so patient when the manga chapter finally catches up. They put a lot of work in to move from a lowkey toxic transactional/physical relationship to one with more emotional intimacy. Hazuki has insane amount of patience and horniness, and Miyagi is trying to meet halfway and beyond.
I love how the story acts as a slice of life covering up actual horror and sorrow to remind you that the story isn’t all shits and giggles. Chapter 19 gave me CHILLS >:D
We made it to the end!! That was solid pacing and I loved the photography scene. Gorgeous ending!!!
