This is actually a pretty good story so far. And the lack of punishment for some offenders is due to Nathan and Empress LISTENING to the wants of the victim... so it's not even worth complaining about tbh.
I'm on chpt 15 and I'm struggling to keep going. Is any of this even real? didn't there red eyed ghost pop up at the lake... during everyones do or die fight? WHAT HAPPPENED THERE. I thought we went into an illusion or something but it's taking up too many chapters. And the older brother, sweet guy but... so dense out in the world. I can't even.... and my biggest frustration is him waving around that special sword jeez secrets out now huh
Now that I'm close to the end... all I can do is laugh. alpha really suffering practically from start to finish and I love to see it. I hope the adaptation continues to go well. Tbh... I'm not rooting for the alpha, but I can move on from the damage he's caused. I'm rooting for whatever the MC wants because how dare everyone!

Up until maybe chpt 27 I was fully on board with MC going for the scary mysterious brother.... since chanyeong was pretty trashy the whole time, I couldn't get over the bad sex aspect tbh.
Buuuut after reaching chat 37.... I'm heavy on team chanyeong. He is NOT that bad as in, he seems open to communication and changing, def deserves another chance (and I usually don't believe in those). But he's protective of MC, sticks up for him and does care. And he's right, mc doesn't COMMUNICATE AT ALLLL! If he did, and nothing changed then I would understand dropping chanyeong. (and I like that chanyeong is encouraging mc new boldness in speaking his mind, and I love that for mc speaking up for himself).
Mysterious brother just keeps getting scarier guys.... and I love that chanyeong calmly heard mc explanation and then went into problem solving mode, let's get you to a hospital because there's def something wrong with you babe. We LOOOVE a protective, action taking man! And how he covered mc eyes when ugly creep dude got hit by a truck, and told mc that was NOT his fault. Bro... I can totally forgive chanyeong he's being better and he's trying to redefine the relationship. He's deadass willing to accept everything and to start things back up at an improved point (none of that forget the past bullshit and start new, just, lets do better from now on, I can respect that). And seeing mc with him now that he speaks up is so cute and great.
