*this is kinda written as a rant just because i was told to read the series by so many people*
I'm not gonna lie, it was kind cute but towards the end it kinda felt like the author wasnt too sure on how they wanted the plot to end. I'm sure they had a big elaborate plan beforehand but towards the end things kinda felt random or like they just wanted drama to keep the series going to milk for money. I honestly can't seem to like dohyun that much either, he is kind of a jerk and selfish but i wouldn't call him a red flag. But my main point is this a forgettable and a (kinda borning) plot and disappointing at the end (lack luster conclusion and drama after drama sides). Dont get me wrong, I think it is worth a read which is why I'm not spoiling, if you like plots with drama (especially angst) its entertaining and at the end of the main story they end up together + its fluffy, which makes me want to give this series a 7/10. As for manhwa mainly readers I will say the plot is more digestable in manhwa form just because you can actually see their expressions and actions making it feel less sad and stressful(?) I am not too sure on how to word this. That being said, manhwa only readers be prepared to get annoyed at ml and prepared to feel really bad for mc.
you & me both. i’ve already been annoyed at ml since omega complex LMAO but this story being made into a manhwa & the art style being this is just too good to drop even if the plot is not all there. but i am curious how mc would react when shit hits the fan & he finds out about all the other stuff doyeons been keeping secret about.
*From what I remember*
Wooyeon outwardly appears to not mind much about mls past obsession with (was Yeonwoo?), but later on he has a (rightfully so) hard time being able to trust ml, and continues to do so. He never truly believes ml is being honest, even for things you can tell ml is 100% honest about, but because he's lied about so many things to Wooyeon he does not trust him anymore. It even happens in the special chapters, in the end he can't seem to 100% trust Dohyun. from beginning to end ml is a liar and all Dohyun feels is sorry for himself just because his 2nd option can't seem give him his fullself anymore. Like when hes going through the chasing arc he said *paraphrased and from memory* "i already lost my chance once im not losing this chance too" at the end(⊙…⊙ )
I didnt NOT feel bad for him at all tbh, but I felt extremely bad for Wooyeon. Its pretty angsty at the end of the series both in main and 2nd side stories, and both of them are because Dohyun is shady and doesnt really seem to care or learn that his actions and personality both are hurting mc and has consequences to what happens with mc and the people around him. And (from my perspective) it felt like mc was always the one begging to do cute couple things, the only times Dohyun wanted to do that was to either boost his ego, or because he was upset Wooyeon finally had the courage to live on his own terms and for himself.
And what really pissed me off is the author could not even be bothered to develope their (confirmed on twitter) marriage or even explore their family life because the author alluded to them having kids. so all this reading and angst to not even be rewarded with something at least wholesome and nice. (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
i read ts my junior year of hs and ive been graduated for a year so im probably either warping things on accident or forgetting things, but dont take my frustration for Dohyun being a red flag or the plot not worth a read.
to clarify
a big part of why dohyun is chasing wooyeon is because wooyeons coward mother accidentally made dohyun was paid to flirt with him and lead him on. because both dohyun and the mom had confirmed he was paid to tutor and be his friend, just not flirt. but because of how shady dohyuns past actions were he does not believe dohyun when he defends himself. but dohyun words his reasoning for chasing mc is because his ego was hurt
crossing my fingers and hoping jins obsession with gunmu is because he likes the ego boost of someone "lesser" than him admiring him and putting him on a pedistal
nothing makes me happier than seeing a man realize his actions have consequences, but nothing makes me more angry than seeing a man seeing the consequences of his actions and then victimizing himself in turn

the bottom left the top again after the top was (i think) forced into going somewhere then he got taken advantage of. he left mc cus he got taken advantage of. tbh i find messy stories entertaining, but it gets to a certain point... like i already hate all this toxic rape culture in the bl and gl series and now i get to witness miscommunication + getting mad at a kid whos being taken advantage of left and right. like i let ts marinate to see if it gets better and it goes forward once then backwards ten. these 2 mcs kinda suck but im the type of person who finishes what they start if i get too far into it. and guess what, we have to wait for season 3

Yes, he left the house. He was assaulted by that stalker of his. Then Haewon saved him. When they got home, they had a fight. Yunoh was crying and Haewon is mad. I don't understand what they are saying but definitely that fight gave the final push to Yunoh to finally leave Haewon's care.
The guy harassing Yun-ho in earlier chapters blackmailed him with Yun-oh and hyung's pictures saying he will spread things like cousins fucking and stuff. I think he also said the uke's colleague is his friend so it will be easier to spread rumor and stuff. He told Yun-ho to come to this apartment and then hit Yunho and he became unconscious. After that he assaulted him(ie nipple licking and other stuff) he was attempting other things but uke came in and saved him. Surprisingly, uke got angry at Yun-Oh for not telling him about the guy. Uke is reported by his friend that Yun-Oh is getting harassed in earlier chapter. So they argue, Yun-Oh feels sad and leaves. The season ends. Pretty bs conflict to introduce tbh. It's worse than a soap opera.
That stalker blackmailed Yunoh by sending him photos of him and Haewon. Looks like he told Yunoh to go to a hotel room(?) or else yknow typical blackmail threats. The stalker got to tie Yunoh's hands so he can't fight back and then assaulted him.

It's probably because Yun-oh didn't tell Haewon that he was getting harassed (rough translation). You don't need to look deep cause this is just a bs excuse by the author to create problems.

10-11 yo me thought this was sooooo cute cus i was just so used to teacher x student mangas coming out often, now adult me is cringing and wishing that this story went in a way different direction and masahiro ended up getting rejected by the teacher (i forgot uncs name) and it could have been a symbolism for his healing arc
them confessing to each other should have been the end... there really is no use of this new drama
