Yeah ik what its rated on there but i usually taken consideration of both official and non official rating when starting a multi chapter webnovel cause it needs a lot of commitment. Sometimes the best ratings come from broke losers who cant afford shit and have no life yknow, they usually are burnt out with the same old and usually needs something new. So yeah a good way to find out if you will burn out if u start or if its just a waste of time. Ofcs i do support the og author if i start reading it and can find them on the officials even if i dont rlly like their shit

I don't encourage you to rely on Westerners to judge haha I find them mostly quite one-sided partly because them quite woke when reading a virtual gay story so sometimes they hate a trope and they can bring it down and give a bad review to the whole thing so why review haha. So I still prefer if you read stories written by Asians then read reviews from Asians only people with the same culture can understand each other better.

You have to understand that Korean readers don't mind grooming, rape, and abuse that much if they're between the main characters. They usually go with the vibe and the tropes(or dynamics) between the characters when it comes to rating.
I read that novel and I can guarantee you, it doesn't deserve the 4.5 rating it has on Ridibook.

ify i am asian. Chinese to be specific. Literally a first gen immigrant who had both chinese parents and no drop of western blood in my ancestry. First language js chinese my second is english. Honestly im the most asian someone can get lol in the western sphere. Also the asian people who hate these types of stories wont even read it or find it at all so the reviews so all you can get is like people who like the story rating it. Also yeah western pov of these stuff is pretty woke and a specific group only go to these stories cause they fetishized the culture, but honestly i find their view of these stories more to my taste lol mostly cause their reviews on the sites made me see how screwed up some of my past views on relationships are and how to enjoy fast food literature and not let the toxic values get into my own life

kr is more open to stuff like grooming and power dynamics compared to cn simply cause of the existing “gender wars” culture. Jp is more open to power dynamics like grooming, boss and subordinate, mentor and student also cause of their culture, but they are also more accepting of trans and enby people simply cause of their history but you still get more rebellious movements like lolita fashion and garyu fashion cause it still breaks their gender norms. Cn is big with celeb and stay fictional culture so u get people malding over irl queers while loving/fetishizing fictional queer stories and using these type of stories to talk about the female experience instead of queer. Western wokes honestly are annoying but they do have good takes on no grooming and healthy relationships even tho they dont get what they are talking about most of the time and say it in a very ignorant way and still get it wrong (cough jkr). the kr ratings does not reflect the quality of the actual story cause even tho they read different, they usually overlook/normalize toxic shit that shouldn’t be ignored
