Nothing happened between them this timeline. At a young age after regressing, Ines cut off her connection with Luciano immediately and proceeded with her “plan” hence why they never had the chance to be close
In the previous timeline, because Ines ran away with a stranger and humiliated the imperial family, it created a huge scandal in the entire country. She ran away about three months before the country would celebrate her national wedding. Due to this, the nobles wanted her brought back and punished for humiliating the imperial family and the commoners sunk her name in the mud. The nobles also demanded the punishment of her family since they produced a sinner and back then the crime of one family member implicated the entire family including extended family members.
Her family bargained with the imperial family for her life and Luciano killed the man she ran away with who also humiliated the imperial family. However, that man didn’t even have to die and it will be revealed later when Carcel goes to Bilbao. Anyway, Ines killed herself after killing her child. When she regressed to this current timeline, she decided her body and hands were too small to given birth to a child and her brother was too small to kill her man. She basically convinced herself or brainwashed herself that if she was too small to kill a child, Luciano was too young to kill a man. She spent the early years trying not to love nor hate her brother but when he became the age when he killed the painter guy, Ines began to hate seeing him. After that time passed and she was fine again.
Currently in the story, Ines has basically begun to heal since her stay in Calztela. Because of Carcel, she’s now willing to communicate better with her brother. That’s why she invited him to Calztela to hunt in ep82. In this current ch91, Carcel provided a chance for the siblings to spend time together. All of this is the beginning of Ines regaining everything she lost two timelines ago when she gave up almost everything and everyone she loves for the crown prince. That’s the difference Carcel is making in her life.
But regarding both siblings, Ines lives with guilt towards the painter for leading him to his death and she recognizes that everything started with her. The manhwa cuts out the parts where she talks about this kind of thing like understanding why Luciano killed the painter and recognizing how pressured her family must have been by the imperial family. I think manhwa is more interested in covering up the truth while readers continue to hate her family.
