It’s kind of confusing, but maybe it’s both his life?
Here's what I think, though I'm not sure cause other details don't fit:
Before the ML regressed, he remembers things differently and thinks it was someone else.
Let’s call them Life A and Life B: - In Life A, ML regressed because of him. - In Life B, this is him after ML regressed.
Both lives are actually his. The problem is, he sees the version of himself in Life A as a completely different person from the one in Life B. In reality, Life A is just his past, but because of the regression, he doesn’t remember it clearly—so it feels like two separate people instead of one continuous life.
To anyone who reads the novel, can someone spoil me, did he find his brothers 25 yrs old body?
