Ok I finished and reread a couple times. I have to say this author wrote through a complete ending. Like tied up and connected all the loose strings. Got rid of the wife factor, played the ace in the hole button they'd buried in the earlier part of the season, gave the reader the physical resolution in Pilsang hitting him (cause he fucking needs it ),keyed up the chasing arc. And did all of it while not leaving us hanging, I love a complete season, like the easier one would've been ending with Jooeon seeing him leave. This is so better because now we know he heard you, he now will no longer trust anything you say, Jooeon you cannot find him now as easily as you assumed and getting him back. Guarantees you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Jooeon Road to I'm a Dumbass in Love Tour Season 2:
First stop His parents, because that'll be the first fall out of this canceled marriage shit, explaining to Dad how he doesn't care about the inheritance and then beating the gossip to a pulp. Next, the debt collectors which will have him figuring out who actually beat up Pilsang in the first place. And will sidebar into him hunting the man who beat him up down personally because the dude will finally understand that Pilsang has dealt with a lot of terrible ass people....Jooeon also being one of those. Then we will have a little character work in this space, maybe some denial, let's throw ourselves into work cause the trail is running cold. And then he's going to end up finally reaching out to the other couple, because he's trail's still cold and he has no leads. This is where the android is the one to tell the human... idiot maybe you're actually in love lol
Me thinks that Pilsang will be with the wood carver in the cabin living a very mundane life or by himself. And the only reason he gets found is because the wood carver goes into town for supplies or because Pilsang is in heat and it alerts Jooeon somehow.
I dont think next season will focus on Pilsang's interiority that much because we got to see everything this season really through him. Now we get to see Jooeon unravel.. Putting my bets in now so I can come back next year...cause I know author nim is probably gone until at least Christmas ╥﹏╥
I think so too. Pilsang will start wood carving and somehow find his way back to the city. But if the author wants to make him a truly skilled woodcarver, that would probably require quite a significant time skip. Then again, I don't know... the author has been doing an amazing job with the story's pacing and progression.
I thought Pilsang had fully recovered? I really hope he has.
I don’t know if he’s recovered fully or if his heat timing has just been extended. Which is why it could be a plot device , to help get them moving back towards each other if desperate Jooeon turns the heat alarm back on from the beginning . Because outside of that or catching him via surveillance, Pilsang could become a ghost .
And yes I will say my biggest pet peeve is a story with terrible pacing. This one has been smooth and it’s what makes me confident that unless they have a stroke and forget how to write, any and all angst will make sense because it’ll still progress the overall story whether that’s in character backstory work, because I know Jooeon is going to have more to this I don’t know what love is story. Life is so easy it’s boring . Like I lowkey want a time jump, imagine a more well adjusted Pilsang living his life with a hobby for pleasure .
Pilsang hasn't had an actual heat since ch18 so he may be cured or like you said the time in between has just been extended.
We all know he's going to the wood carver's cabin but maybe he meets the adopted grandson and he becomes 2nd ml. Jooeon going though Pilsang's room, sees the carving stuff or the cat statue and goes to find the wood carver who tells him where he is. Then when he gets to the cabin he sees Pilsang happy with this other guy which could be new romance or just misunderstanding.
I'm just already so amped for season 2.
Oooo lets follow your theory, what if he does meet the son but the second ml is a bottom who doesn't necessarily resemble his previous crush but is different from Jooeon. And I could see it being either Pilsang trying to move on or genuinely just an actual FRIEND for the first time in a long time. But I do think Jooeon misunderstands like he did in the beginning when he thought Pilsang actually went through with having sex with the escort talking about he had a "type" and implying he was a slut -__-. And that could happen prior to Jooeon understanding he actually loves Pilsang. Like he finally catches him sees him with the "second ML" and imagine him trying to process a feeling like JEALOUSY when he can't even process love. That man is going to leave, be angry and throw himself into work.... cue up the android and him having a conversation some time later after he starts seeing Pilsang in everything he does or he start's shirking work.... I know that android conversation is going to come and its going to be a revisit to the theme park chapter just in reverse. Like Mr. Chairman maybe you are experiencing the confusion that you call being human....
I'd love it if Jooeon doesn't even see them doing anything just Pilsang genuinely smiling and then he has to think "he's never smiled like that at me" which is what sparks the jealousy cuz he previously thought he could just show up again and charm his way back into his heart.
Jooeon tries to confront him at one point, asking if grandson is helping with his heat now. Or seeing Jooeon triggers his heat for the first time in forever but Jooeon assumes his heats have been regular and he's been having sex with other people to get through it. So Pilsang gives him the cold shoulder or lies and says yes. Either to make him jealous or to avoid admitting he still has feelings and couldn't move on from Jooeon.
Idk how involved grandson would actually be but I have so many theories. Honestly, kinda don't want Pilsang to get with anyone else but also I want him to have someone that cares about him and doesn't play games even if it isn't romantic.
