A relationship between two people over the age of majority literally has nothing whatsoever to do with paedophilia. It's an adult in a relationship with another adult, not an adult preying on a child.

A huge age gap would be like 13y or more. My dad is 10 years older than my mother*. I have a friend whose parents were 15 years apart and happily married for like thirty something years until he - friend's dad - passed.

I did see your other comment, I just hadn't thought it worth mentioning. When people are arguing, they tend to say things that they know will get on the other's nerves. It's meant to be an infantilising insult, because Akihito is younger, sure, but he's still an adult. The comment is an intentional dick move on Goutarou's part.

Regardless of any of that, however, my point still stands. Paedophilia is a word with a specific meaning, and very much does not apply here. A a paraphilic attraction to children (specifically prepubescent children, i.e. ages 10-13) has nothing to do with a relationship between two adult individuals.

A 10 year age gap isn't that surprising irl, most people's parents have that age gap. Mine too. So yeah, chill with the pedo talk because otherwise everyone's dad or mom is a pedo.
