1) Joseph loves in a selfless, steady way.
He chooses Ian’s happiness—even when it excludes him. That’s not weakness, that’s emotional maturity. If he stayed, he’d constantly be in a position where he’s giving more than he’s receiving.

2) Ian never loved him the same way back.
And that imbalance matters. A relationship where one person is “chosen second” (even silently) slowly eats them alive. Joseph deserves to be someone’s first instinct, not their “safe place when things are hard.”

3) Joseph would’ve lost himself trying to stay.
You all saw how much he was willing to endure. If he kept holding on, his love would turn into quiet suffering—and that’s the opposite of what his character stands for.

4) Letting go was his strongest moment.
That wasn’t a loss—that was growth. He chose dignity over desperation. He respected Ian’s choice and respected himself enough not to beg for a place in someone’s heart.

And the hardest truth? Jo's love was real—but it wasn’t reciprocated in the same depth. Staying would’ve diminished him. Leaving preserved him.

So yeah… it hurts. But this ending doesn’t make Joseph “less than.” It proves he’s the kind of person who deserves a love that chooses him without hesitation.

Let's hope author is kind enough to make a healthy sequel for Jo.

I finally sent the devs an email because I don’t have a single manga/manhwa restored in my lists even after both passes, and I wanted to clarify my situation.

Part of their response to my inquiry was: “We can only get the manga back if you rated or added tags when added manga to your list."

I’ve since sent a reply asking whether this basically means that for people who didn’t rate the manga/manhwa they added to their list (such as myself), they’re gone forever and can’t be restored. I’m still waiting for a reply, but I understand they’re probably dealing with a lot at the moment.

I just wanted to bring this up here in case there’s information about this that I’m not aware of. A few days ago I was told that non-rated manga are being done later. However, based on the devs reply, is there really no more hope for those of us that never rated any of the mangas/manhwas they read?

UPDATE:
Just for everyone's information this was the complete reply that I received from the devs (along with the part I shared earlier):

"I'm sorry, one of our data disk was crashed, we lost part of the data of users several days ago, but we still can restore part of the data from rating and tags. we can only get the manga back if you rated or added tags when added manga to your list"
