The story is pretty interesting. Although I would agree with another review that Adrien only getting 8 years is too little. Yes he showed some remorse but he killed a lot of people.
Oddly enough I felt like it didn't have a lot of her raising the dragon. Yes, Mu is always with her but still. I wish we had side stories really exploring their relationship too.
Yeah 8 years and 30,000 hours of community service is about 1,250 days so a little below 3 and a half years. So 8 years in prison and 3 years and 4 months of community service close to 12 years of punishment.
He wasn't the mastermind so I guess he got a lighter sentence but for someone already depressed everyday would be torture and atonement. He might also be targeted if any prisoners family were affected by him and his ex lover ...

I hope the next chapter she talks with her grandfather to get more information on her mom. Over 100 chapters and we don't know really anything about her.
I liked the main story but didn't like how the daughter's was resolved. The Duke and Dutchess die early. Also we never see the Duke's mother again?
I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see her spending time with the other grandparents. I know they died young but I would've loved to at least get to see them meet their grandkids first.
I think too mmay people expected something more serious. I really don't get that vibe from this story (especially compared to the original). I don't know why people expected Hyesung to leave Dojin. They been married for almost 20 yrs. He's not going anywhere. Although I am glad that Hyesung hasn't forgiven his mother yet.
Totally agree. It’s surprising that they even dedicated so much time to the mother subplot as I was expecting it to be nonexistent since this story is a 180 in tone compared to love is an illusion. Yes I hope we can revisit and flush this out more with the parents later but as of right now, the lighter tone just doesn’t suit that heavier topic especially so early on.

but then again if fargo didn't want it to be serious she shouldn't have used hyesungs trauma to set up a kissing scene for byul. she could've went any other route to reach that. a lot of her readers share contempt for hyesungs mother and the fact that it was brushed off because apparently "hyesung didn't want byul in the first place (unplanned pregnancy)", "she birthed you", "she looked like you" is insane. that man had to face the threat sexual assault as a child and those are the "reasons' his family think she should forgive his awful mother? fargo needed to think this through a bit more
Damn, Byul heard just enough without the proper context and look what happens. Smh. Cause he clearly doesn't know about the abuse his mother was left to suffer in or how his own parents relationship started.
