But it could also be the experiment failed, makign him lack emotions/empathy, and now he wants to create supersoldiers with such powers, and Anya is an experiment who escaped?

This story has gotten pretty stale (pun totally intended). What even is the plot anymore? Is she going to get revenge on her ex? Is she going to just run a bakery and invent new desserts? Is she becoming a witch? Is the emperor going to have her marry the second prince? Is she gonna go on an adventure and vanquish the poison from the world? I honestly don't even have a favorite character because everyone is so bland.
