jaekyung assaults and manipulates dan because he essentially just “doesnt know better” because dan “didnt make it obvious” as if he didnt make it incredibly obvious he wasnt comfortable with what was happening and was tolerating it bc he needed money and a job. then we go on a whole jaekyung redemption arc and low point in the story that basically just tells us he was poor and had an abusive family and that explains him being an asshole. as if dan wasnt also raised in shitty circumstances, but somehow jaekyungs past justifies his behavior and his active decision making. during the low point dan is framed as this damsel in distress and jaekyung comes in and literally and metaphorically saves him as if that justifies how horribly he treated him. and yes, maybe if it was done WELL it wouldve- but that shit was bad. then somehow this all ends in DAN comforting jaekyung. AFTER HE ASSAULTED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES. this story pisses me off beyond belief. i dont even care how long this is. its just so shallow and fetishized with so many plot holes while being framed as a love story. this whole “finale” (or it feels like we’re close to the end) between choosing the championship and dan… the fact that this is the biggest piece of yaoi media rn and its fucking ass kills me. nice art, horrible story, horrible characters. sorry im really mad rn

Since the ML image so trash like even if he do redemption it look like out of chara i mean it hard to say, he image like : arrogant, bully, and egoistic or NPD. suddenly loving someone kinda out of question for that chara. Couldn't agree more! To me right now the only thing that """make some sense""" is the fact JK's doubting about Dan and being a champion, cause IN HIS head winning the fight means loosing Dan. It's sense cause of his past (and that's THE ONLY thing his past works here) his lack of communication and the way he can't think clearly and solve something for us is so easy it's just something that makes sense when you think about his past and his desperate desire to never go back to that, his past is blurring his judgment (never actually good to start with!) But THAT IT!

What worries me the most is the mention of how this BL is so powerful and know right now...cause doesn't matter how many times comments come wild and savage to claim "it's fiction" the truth is most of them are reading it as a "love story" and that's the reason they're giving the same excuses for a fictional character (not to mention the typical "then just don't read!" comments that's just part of the long list of proving points that they just lost their argument!) trying to convince themselves JK's change and is slowly showing his feelings
NO. He's just a violent selfish ADULT who never learn nor had the wish to improve as a human being and (author's help of course) use/used Dan as an excuse to do everything. It's not different from all those toxic relationships adopted from wattpad (or similar) where the main purpose for a female character is to be "sacrified" in order to the man to "grow" or "improve" as a person. So cliché
At the end it's just living prove the authors just can't do better and their lacks as writters. The art is good tho....?
