Older readers (over 21), what is the best advice you would give someone younger?

There's been a lot of good advice given so far so I'm going to try to cover something that hasn't been said yet. Keep in touch with your friends. Know and understand that friendship is a two way street: you both need to be reaching out to each other, otherwise one of you is going to burn out or you will drift.
