Roam sees Sex as something romantic and gentle- beautiful even- based on his description. The notice that what Loren is doing isn’t sex is a huge character point for both of them- and it’s so well excited. There’s no bed chemistry? That’s how it’s SUPPOSED to be written- because the characters are in a point in their relationship where they’re not in sync and can therefore not mutually enjoy intercourse.
It’s like reaching Chemical equilibrium in chemistry- when the mass of the product in unequal to the mass of the reactants, it reaches a stalemate that those back and forth until it can properly balance itself. In chemistry, that’s never, but this is fiction so, I guess there might be a chance.
