It's for a variety of reasons: if we're talking about Japanese manga than porn is illegal and so the only way they can sell it in stores is by publishing it censored like mosiace or black bars, some artists are bad at drawing genitals and it doesn't match with anything else they've drawn so lightsabers, another factor is some readers find looking at the genitalia "gross" and "offputting" (I myself pick censored over uncensored cause it usually looks gross and ugly and doesn't match the style of the artist), the regulators believe that if the genitals are censored then "technically" it's not porn and they don't wanna let people "give away" porn.
I prefer censored because what I imagine it looks like is usually better than what it could've looked like "leave it up to the imagination" and all that
